Hey,

I know this sounds strange, but I really think that this process has really given me some sort of PTSD, which includes repetitive behavior. :jest:

I keep checking the CEAC website (although I know nothing has changed) and I keep rereading the emails from the USCIS and NVC. I will be so glad when this process is complete.

P.S. Part of me still gets excited to see all the little green check marks and the word accepted :hehe:

Hey if it makes you feel better I've found myself doing the same thing sometimes. The process truly can take a toll on you. My wife and I have actually joked about having to find something to obsess about once this is over but in due time we will be done

I'm glad I'm not the only one... I just found myself checking the exact time the DQ email was sent in comparison to when the message was sent in the CEAC website - I know that it doesn't even matter 😆

Anyway, once my husband gets here, we will be obsessing over each other in many different ways :dancing:

:ot2: As soon as I get my IL I will let everyone know.

I called NVC and that what I was told. 🤷🏽‍♀️ & you can also check in the spreadsheet.

from my experience, I don't trust NVC call center. For oath ceremony it make sense to gather a large group in a batch and send one notice per month. But for interview, i won't matter. its first come first serve basis. at oath ceremony everyone will become US citizen and at interview not everyone gets visa, some might not bring all docs etc.. let see when I get mine.

Hey guys. I just received an email from NVC.. I'm guessing it's the interview letter with the interview date set for Feb 5th in Abu Dhabi embassy. I tried to register the appointment, it says this case number isn't ready for an interview yet.

What do I do? Do I still get the medical done? Do I show up for the interview? Am I supposed to receive packet 3 from Abu Dhabi?? NvC set the appointment for me..

Applications filed by a permanent resident put the beneficiary into a Family Preference category.  FP categories require a visa to be available for that country.  If a visa isn't yet available, it will take longer.

Many of the people here are married to US citizens and do not require a visa to become available for them to have their application processed through NVC and receive their interview date.

The variablility of interview dates is also dependent on how busy the Consulate is.  Canada and Mumbai seem to have very backed up Consulates with longer wait times.

Edit to add:  Is the case complete at USCIS and waiting to be sent to NVC?  Or are they documentarily qualified at NVC?

Daaam I guess I have a longgg wait since my case was complete oct 28 That’s crazy
