Hi all,

Anyone any info about California filers?

I filed in early January. Biometrics shortly after but got no news on interview dates. My account shows estimate Jan 2021, field office SF.

Also, what to use to study for the civics test? I have the booklet that I got at the biometrics appointment, but didn't start studying yet so I wonder.

I am from california too, san bernardino filed january nothing. I think ca way behind. I saw on the other site san bernardino just processing sept/oct  filler so i still 4 month to go.

I am adding you to the spreadsheet. Your timeline shows you filed 1/30/2020, and your biometrics on 1/18/2020. Should that be 2/18/2020?

No mine changed to oath ceremony scheduled same day as my interview Thursday but the notice haven’t come yet. I’m assuming it will come tomorrow and it will most likely be for the August 26th one they have.

Hi! I had my interview today! It went really fast (KCMO)

I had to read "the white house is in Washington D.C." and I had to write "the president lives in the White House"

Questions

1. What did Susan B Anthony do?

2. 50 stars

3. USA Capital

4. Presidents party - Republican

5. Reason colonists came to America

And I don't remember the other one lol. But it was an easy one.

I was approved.

No I'm waiting for my naturalization ceremony :)

I am scheduled for 27th of August ceremony. You guys must live on the Missouri side. I live in Kansas maybe that's why mine is on a different day

I had my interview today and I passed. Another great news is that I have my Oath TODAY at 2 pm and then I'm done!! What a journey.

Took about 30 minutes for the interview, officer just checked my informations and proceeded with questions.

1. Who is Chiefe of Military?

2. Who is in charge of Executive branch?

3. What is the name of your state Representative?

4. When is the Declaration of independence adopted?

5. What is the name of Vice President?

6. Why are there 13 stripes on the Flag?

Reading: Who was George Washington?

Writing: Washington was the first President.

Officer was extremely professional and nice, didnt check any of the papers I brought with me, congratulated me and told me that my Oath will be today.

Field office: San Antonio, TX

Congratulations!🎊

Oath Ceremony Letter showed up in Documents tab online.

August 20, 2020 in the Memphis Field Office.

I was hoping it would be here in Little Rock, but I said yesterday I didn't care if we had to go back to Memphis to get it done.

Congratulations!

Did you opt in for name change?

The officer who interviewed me said my ceremony will be in AR and that it would take a while to schedule mine since I am applying to change my name. I took that as Memphis not having jurisdiction over my oath ceremony (I live in Craighead county) but I could be completely wrong on that.

My timeline on my.uscis just got pushed back to Dec 2020 and I am wondering if I can ask them to move me to a court in Memphis area in case it is faster there.

Yes. They will go through information to confirm with you if everything is correct or if any amendment need to be made.

My IO was super cool and corrected my application , i had answered yes to have you ever been cited by an officer,  charged and convicted of offense or crime etc, i had answered yes to all the 3 questions (cited, charged, convicted) because i had a speeding ticket and paid to fine to court. I had taken my certified court disposition etc. The IO corrected the application by saying NO to charged, and convicted and only saying YES to 'cited'. And also corrected few other personal info that i  requested correction for. She was super cool.

Ah, that is fascinating. Mine was exactly opposite.

I had two speeding tickets and a parking ticket. I said yes only to “cited” question on my application but my interviewing officer said since I was ticketed and paid the fines, I should say yes to “charged” and “convicted”. We corrected it during the interview. I am waiting for my oath ceremony so I guess it wasn’t a big deal. Just wish they have some consistency across all field offices!

We did her name change early in the process, when we filed for adjustment of status ( she had been in the U.S. 18 days.)
Apple's Oath Ceremony is at the Memphis Field office, not the court.
I would think that with name change yours would be at the Federal court in Jonesboro.
