Good evening everyone. I have been reading your very helpful comments. Can someone please help me clarify my situation.

-June 15th i got an interview letter in the mail for N400 scheduled for july 24th.

-July 6th I got another letter in the mail for I751 interview scheduled for same date, time and location (july 24th) - (i realized it will be combo)

-July 16th I found a letter on MYUSCIS account document tab saying N400 is descheduled for unforseen reason. (I became very sad), though my case status still says ...we scheduled you for interview, the only reason I know about this reschedule is that I found a letter in the doc tab.

-Meanwhile I have not received any letter in the mail about this. and i have not received any notification about my i751. now i'm confused about if i should still attend my i751 interview because nothing told me it has been cancelled.

Please i need advice.

So UPDATE - me and my spouse went to uscis office as originally scheduled, after going through security, checked in at the window, sat in the lobby for about 10 minutes. An officer came out, called my name and started to apologize that my interview have been descheduled because they still dont have my file sent to them yet. I found it strange that they woukd schedule an interview without having the file first. But idk. They said they will schedule me at a later date. So the wait continues. At this point I dont wana worry too much a out this whole thing. I will just live my life and think less about this.

After several months in touch with Congressman regarding my I751 case, finally I was able to get some information today and apparently NBC are waiting on Albany,NY field office to schedule my N400 interview and as soon as they schedule my N400 interview, NBC will then send file to local field office. Well this is totally in contradiction to what Albany,NY field office personal told me earlier in June. According to her, they cant schedule my N400 until NBC send them a I751 file so not sure who to believe? Atleast now I know whats going on? Look like its gonna be a combo interview and probably will take several more months to be done with immigration process!

From my understanding, the IO goes thru the application and confirms all the info when you have your interview.

Relax. You do go into a room, usually at a post office.  The agent reviews your form, checks your id an makes sure that your passport photo is within guidelines.  Then you go pay at the counter and take the receipt back to the agent.

Painless transaction.

Ok like reviewing information on the passport app. good. hehehe.

Yes. They will go through information to confirm with you if everything is correct or if any amendment need to be made.

My IO was super cool and corrected my application , i had answered yes to have you ever been cited by an officer,  charged and convicted of offense or crime etc, i had answered yes to all the 3 questions (cited, charged, convicted) because i had a speeding ticket and paid to fine to court. I had taken my certified court disposition etc. The IO corrected the application by saying NO to charged, and convicted and only saying YES to 'cited'. And also corrected few other personal info that i  requested correction for. She was super cool.

That sounds like a typical USCIS situation 🙄 Can you engage your Congress person to push Albany to request your file from NBC? Such a headache...

USCIS is a joke and I can try and see if it helps? It took me 5 months to get some help from congressman office. I was able to get some contacts in Albany ,NY field office and I will contact her this week if she can ask her supervisor to push for my case.

My problem is my wife moves to Texas earlier this year and I'm a stuck here due to my job contract at the end of this year. Wondering do I need to ask my wife to fly here to attend combo interview with me?Is spouse need to be there for combo interview??

Need to wait for the appointment letter. When my wife had her interview, I had to wait outside the building.
