Thanks @Georgia16!!

Actually, we just had our passport interviews today, and found that we could submit applications for our under-18 kids using our certificates. All applications were submitted together, and the original citizenship evidence applies to the kids as well as the adults. Also, if you request both a passport book and a passport card for the kids, the card serves as evidence of citizenship even when expired. So for the cost of the card ($15 or $30 depending on the age of the child) you get a permanent evidence of citizenship that is as effective as an N-600 which costs over $1000. Nice to know, and very helpful passport officer at the USPS.

Is that normal?I thought they will just stamped my passport and I can keep my expired greencard along with 18 month extension letter. Did it happen to someone else too?

No they usually take it when you get a stamp.

Yes you now have a stamp that is good for 1 year and that serves as your GC.

Can someone add me to the spreadsheet?

Long time lurker but my patience is running out. Why is everything so complicated? Predicted net deficit, now it's surplus. And furlough pushed till the end of the month.

I have seen many of you here waiting since January as well. It shouldn't take this long if they can just uniformly agree on rescheduling policy. Some states start scheduling while some only do Oath.  Chicago for example are not doing any interviews, but they are doing Oath (Not Judicial). Texas for example doing Judicial oath where the judge talks remotely via a big screen. So why can't Chicago do the same?

As a university student, I had everything planned out, was hoping that the process could be completed by August before my semester starts. The pandemic is unfortunate but this is just ridiculous.

This whole thing is just a mess all around, so much incompetency from head to bottom. It adds so much unnecessary stress to my daily life.

Relax. You do go into a room, usually at a post office.  The agent reviews your form, checks your id an makes sure that your passport photo is within guidelines.  Then you go pay at the counter and take the receipt back to the agent.

Painless transaction.
