Kansas City is usually closed on Fridays. But why don't you try and write them via the online account and see what they say and if you get no response you can try and show up.

Thanks I can also try writing them.

I have a question for those that have had their interview descheduled in the past. Did it show in the Myuscis account under Case History tab that 'interview was descheduled'? Cos I dont have it in case history or case status tabs. I only have it in the document tab, and it's been there for about a week.

Did you mean the same thing happened to you.

Did you mean your got a notice in the tab saying your n400 tab is descheduled?

Yup. Got the interview and then it got descheduled. Then the descheduled got removed from the tab.

Wow for 37 years they still have the file for your birth certificate. 👍👍👍

Trust me!  They have everything that you sent right from the beginning. I saw my case file sitting on the USCIS officer's desk. it was HUGE! almost 4" thick bundle!  I even saw the DHS Stamp on it, saying it's Approved!

Then you need to attend

Take a print out of the letter, go to the field office and they speak to an officer at the counter. When I went there for my citizenship interview, I saw some people go to them to clarify. 2 of them had their citizenship interview after that.

With USCIS, you shouldn't take any risk. Just show up at their office on that day and see what happens.

Had my interview today and was approved. No idea when the oath ceremony will be.

The questions I was asked

State that borders Canada

number of senators

name a part of the government

name of chief justice

who wrote the Declaration of Independence

what is the supreme law of the land

The examiner did remark that I had one of the thinnest files she’d seen for the length of time I’ve been here (37 years)

I was only asked to show my passports, green card and driver license.I of course took everything.

I was asked if I wanted to officially change my name. After a blank stare she explained that since my birth certificate doesn’t have my middle name on it, my certificate of naturalization won’t have my middle name on it. This is despite everything else including my social security card and my passport having my middle name. I decided not to since that would require a court oath and they are even more backed up than civil ceremonies. The down side of this is that I’ll probably have to change my social security card if I ever want to get a real id from the dmv (my husband, born in the USA,  found out he is in the same boat when he when he attempted to get his real Id license last year - no middle name on his birth certificate.).

am just curious, why did it take you 37 years to apply for Citizenship?

Hello,
Interview was smooth, not so quick because there was a good chat, my wife stayed outside and told me that other applicants were out in 10-15 minutes, mine was like 45 min, no problems at all.
I applied with paper under 3 years but it was close to 5 and because the wait time it turned 5 years.

My Oath ceremony is scheduled for next Wednesday 29, I believe there are no same day ceremonies in Tucson Office.

Best of luck for you all
