I definitely didn’t submit it with the n-400, but she showed me the copy she had. So that’s my assumption. Unless uscis is even more big brother than I think they are.

Wow for 37 years they still have the file for your birth certificate. 👍👍👍

As I said - she told me it was one of the thinnest file she’d seen under the circumstances. Then she waved behind her at a stack of other files. Some of those were 6 inches thick, no joke.

I’m reasonably certain they keep every piece of submitted evidence for all time. Which makes sense.

Congratulations!! I bet your ceremony will be in the next 3 weeks.

You are more optimistic than I am. Pittsburgh hasn’t really been particularly innovative (no drive in oath taking for example). It’s really going to depend on how many people are in line before me. But we shall see.

Good evening everyone. I have been reading your very helpful comments. Can someone please help me clarify my situation.

-June 15th i got an interview letter in the mail for N400 scheduled for july 24th.

-July 6th I got another letter in the mail for I751 interview scheduled for same date, time and location (july 24th) - (i realized it will be combo)

-July 16th I found a letter on MYUSCIS account document tab saying N400 is descheduled for unforseen reason. (I became very sad), though my case status still says ...we scheduled you for interview, the only reason I know about this reschedule is that I found a letter in the doc tab.

-Meanwhile I have not received any letter in the mail about this. and i have not received any notification about my i751. now i'm confused about if i should still attend my i751 interview because nothing told me it has been cancelled.

Please i need advice.

You should probably call USCIS at the phone number on the letter.

What is your field office?
Currently the USCIS site is showing all Field Offices open.

Field office is kansas city.

I called. All my effort to talk to an immigration officer has not been successful. They call center reps told me to make sure I attend the i751 interview. But I dont if to rely too much on the call rep

I can safely tell you that there are many others that had this same thing happened to them with scheduling then de-scheduling.

However, while some listened to the robotic replies from the USCIS hotline reps, some of them actually showed up to the Field office on the day they were supposed to be interviewed and were accepted into the building, had their interviews done because the actual Field office had ZERO knowledge of any de-scheduling and had the applicant on their list of interview attendees.

If it is not too much out of your way (2hr+ drive, airplane trip, hotel overnight stay, etc.) then I suggest showing up on the day with all your requested evidence and fully prepared for your combo interview. Ensure to carry your interview scheduling letter showing July 24, 2020.

Thank you for your response. I'm gonna show up. It's just that the whole thing has got me destabilized and unsettled, after waiting for about 2 years(i751) 😔

Double that. Just go. They won’t turn you away. Print out the interview letter if it’s not coming via mail. Go get that Citizenship!

Kansas City is usually closed on Fridays. But why don't you try and write them via the online account and see what they say and if you get no response you can try and show up.
