5 years, you don’t need a lawyer, he might go and you will do all the questions, my friend went and all they asked her was, why did you divorce, she told them her story and the immigration, woman was sorry for her, divorce happens everyday. Her lawyer didn’t do anything or say anything. And she paid the lawyer $750. For nothing, I told her, but she was also afraid like you.

I am not afraid, I am scared. I don't have anything to loss but I am not sure what to do.
My 5 years will be completed on June 20202 can I apply online now?

Greetings! First post here, applied for citizenship based on marriage. Been married for 13 years, it was time.

N-400 submitted online: Jan 3rd 2020

Biometrics Scheduled: January 22nd

Just waiting for the interview to be scheduled. In Tampa, heard it's one of the quickest in the county. Estimated completion date is July.

Yeah Tampa super quick!

I got June 2020 for Spokane, Washington.

I wonder what place is the fastest.

They will reject your application (online or paper) when you file before your 90-day window opens. If you file a day early, they will reject it. That’s for both, paper and online. They are very strict.

You are welcome to start your application online now, but it will not change how long it will take for them to schedule your biometrics/interview because they only consider your application once you filed it during the 90-day window or any time after that date. The 90-day period before the anniversary is actually considered “early filing”.

Over here in my part of Illinois N400 seems to get interviews pretty quickly. My cousin, I filed his online 4 months ago and on January 23,2020 he will be going to his interview at Des Moines ,Iowa ...

Hopefully my wife will be the same. Just filed online 01/02/20 and biometric on 01/24/20

What documents did you include with your on line application?

go to this site, fill in the GC 5 year anniversary date. It will show you the earliest date you are eligible to file for N400.

Any state/City which has low immigration.

The fastest in the country is Cleveland, Ohio.  It is considered the best USCIS field office and the manager of that office has been recognized as one of the best field office managers.  When she took over the office a number of years ago she made sure that any backlog applications were processed and new applications were processed expeditiously.  Sometimes they actually do the swearing in ceremony at the end of the interview.  Current processing time at this site is 3.5 to 7 months.
