Estimated wait time:

We are taking longer than expected to process your case. You do not need to do anything at this time.

I need help/advise as to how I could forward my incoming greencard to TX? My greencard case got approved earlier this week and today I got a notice that USPS will deliver my greencard at my home address in NY on Jan 11,2020 but the problem is that I am out of state until 30th Jan,2021 and no one would be at home to collect my greencard. I guess someone need to sign it for certified priority mail right? What should I do?

I don’t think that you need to sign for it. But regardless, you may be able to do hold mail your local post office and pick it you when you’re back in NY.

Isn't certified mail are supposed to be sign in for? I see on the tracking information, that mail is priority mail not sure if it is certified one too or not? but the question is that how long would USPS hold mail at post office?

Call the local post office and they can tell you I believe it is 30 days or something like that.

Happy new year, I got my interview scheduled for February . But now I have a question in the paper for interview they said if you sick.....have underlying condition call the number to reschedule your interview.  If we have underlying condition do we have to reschedule interview or just an option?  When people come to interview I think they verified if you sick, out of country in the 2 week before the date your interview, have a contact with people with covid and so on do they ask about if you have underlying condition for covid? I just don’t want to reschedule my interview if I don’t have to after my 1 year of waiting. Thank you

Good evening!

Received my I-751 interview notice, which matches the date of my N-400 interview notice. Updated my signature/timeline (took almost 2 years for I-751 to get an interview, geez, I filed in early 2019).

Quick Q though: So the only thing I'm worried about is not being on any documentation relating to the mortgage of the house we're in. My husband owns the house with his parents, and between the three of them they're the only ones on the mortgage, and I obviously never signed any sort of lease agreement...I just simply give them money with no written agreement to do so, and have done so since I moved here in 2016. Later this year, the plan is his parents will be moving out of the place to Wisconsin, and my husband and I will be re-mortgaging the house to just the two of us. I have lived in this same house since the day I landed after POE on my K1 visa (my husband and his parents even longer than that), and while I'm not on the house documentation itself, I have plenty of other documentation that proves that I live here, such as... well, literally anything else that requires an address (even my car's title has my same house address, which I received a few months ago after paying off my car). We got plenty of other documentation of us having co-mingling finances (we have separate checking accounts, but we share two savings accounts), joint-filing taxes, he's on my car insurance, beneficiaries for life insurance, etc.. We have never received an RFE for any cases, and my I-485 was auto-approved back in 2017. If questioned, we're just going to tell it as it is as above, but was just curious if anyone else has a similar situation? Cheers.

They are asking you call them to reschedule if you are sick, especially with COVID. If you have an underlying condition that puts you at heightened risk, I assume that's up to you if you want to reschedule.

Yup, we are in the same situation. I own house with my parents and my wife is not in the mortgage. However, she is on home insurance and has one utility under our name. We had combo interview today morning and officer recommended case for approval (no updates online yet). Bring documents to show that your husband and his parents own the house and you should be fine.
