wow after reading some intresting conversation finally immigration related question. To answer your question no depends which month your field office is processing applications for Chicago jus started doing January 2020 interviews, before that it was we are taking longer than usual.

So, how long was your status stuck on "taking longer than usual" before they scheduled you for the interview?

And since you have been around 22 countries including Europe, and you think we are here far behind, why did you end up immigrating here or on this website? Maybe these other countries won't take you so now you are only left with a terrible nation like ours here (which is only better than 3rd world countries in your opinion)? That's a joke, but a terrible one that you are throwing out there!!! The past four years are not the standard and we proved that we self-improve and self-clean ourselves!

That’s irrevalent. But FYI I’ve dual nationality with South Africa. I immigrated here not because EU wouldn’t take me, i never applied. And my family ( wife & kids ) are here.  There are better countries than US , doesn’t make US a terrible country. That’s some poor comprehension skills on your part. Since you’re taking personal pot shots instead of discussing the actual point, i have no interest in continuing this discussion here.

My interview is on the 28th andI still haven’t gotten my mailed notice. All I have is the one in my online account which I intend to print and bring it with me. I called

them many times but wasn’t able to reach a human. Filed an e-request for non delivery of notice 10 days ago and

still haven’t heard back. Anybody with the same problem?

Why don’t you just print it from your online account?

USPS has terrible delays lately. Waiting for something that was sent to me (within my state) on December 1st.

What you are doing is sufficient. Printing the notice and taking it with you will serve you perfectly and you don't need to do an e-request appointment.

Hello! Dallas office here.

I applied Jan 27th 2020. Did my biometrics in February. Got scheduled for the interview on November 16th and attended my interview December 15th, approved on the spot. Now just awaiting for the Oath Ceremony letter, should receive it within 30 days.
Very excited and would love to hear if other Dallas people have received their Oath Ceremony letters, all I know is that the event is going to be in Frisco.

If someone wants to update spreadsheet: filed on 01.15.20, bio on 02.06.20, interview today, 12.29.20. Orlando filer.

Naturalization based on 5 year rule, no questions about marriage dissolution.

The officer was short at first but was laughing at the end.

Test was a total of 6 questions, only remember the first 4.

Who’s the speaker of the house

name 3 original states

name one right exclusive to American citizens

who makes federal laws

A lot of time was spent getting info on my speeding tickets (quite a few) and the results of each one. After showing proof of payment and Court records, everything was fine.

A tip for everyone: they wanna see tax transcripts from the IRS not the long version that we submit to the IRS. Only by going to the IRS you will get those.

Approved on the spot. When I left the interview my case status was showing “oath ceremony will be scheduled”.

My ceremony is going to be in the courthouse due to name change request.

Relief, relief, relief. It’s what I feel right now.

I wish everyone good luck and

a happy 2021. Thank you all for the good info we all shared in this forum. Highly helpful.

Congratulations! I have the exact same first dates (filed in Dallas on Jan 27, bio in Feb), but no word since then. Did you have your I-751 pending? I suspect that's what's slowing down my process.

Update. I had a N400 and I751 interview on Jan 04,2020 at Albany,NY field office. We went there around 7:45am waited at a lobby outside the office until 8:00am when security personal let us in , did our security check and waited inside until officer called us around 8:15am. The officer was very kind and professional. Literally within 15 min we were both out and he immediately approved cases. Did not ask a single question from my wife. I751 case was just formality, just confirmed my name and full address and thats it and for N400 civic test, he asked

what is the capital of USA?

Who is Susan B Anthony?

Name one branch of federal government?

Who was the US at war with in World war II?

What ocean is on the east coast?

What was Abrahim Linkcoln known for?

After that very easy writing and reading english test.He immediately approved our cases and congratulated us. I requested him if he could schedule my oat ceremony next month due to not being in the state for which he was not sure about it.

Immediately after we left office, N400 and I751 cases status changed. I751 changed to New card is being produced and N400 to My Oat ceremony will be scheduled respectively

I have a question how long would it take to get a oat ceremony date?

Thanks all of you guys to help me with the immigration process.
