When you order transcripts on irs website you can choose immigration as purpose. Those are a very lean version of the records, with everything needed for USCIS. I read somewhere that submitting 1040 is not recommended since they’re super long, and no proof that taxes were actually paid (if you owe). Maybe others have other experience.

Front page of tax return customer copy is more than enough.

Thank you guys for all the responses. I will create an account and will print and take it to the interview. It is better be safe than sorry. filing taxes is a crucial part with USCIS so no harm in printing and taking last 3 years at the interview.

There is also a link to one page only transcript which shows zero taxes owed my and wife name tax filed. which one i should print? 5 pages one or the 1 page which shows filed jointly and zero balance owed?

Thank you for your responses been a big help.

Did anyone add a scanned copy of their i751 (if it’s still pending) to the online evidence!?

My i751 has been pending for a year now, and still says “case was received”  (the 500 applications before AND after have all at least been updated to fingerprints received, or case progress).  I put a lot of evidence in that, so I hope if they see it’s still pending, and see a copy of everything, they can request the file from Vermont and adjudicate it together with the n400 and then I will be donezo with USCIS.

We did not add the I-751 when we filed the N-400 online.

my.uscis.gov/account/applicant still shows "case was received"
2 days after filing the N-400, egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do shows "Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction"

I think the I-751 automatically gets transferred, so the files are processed together.

I totally messed up my chances of citizen with the worst mistake ever. I don't know if I should get a lawyer, withdraw my application or how to fix it.

A couple years ago, I was on USAJOBS and I applied for 3 jobs. For one of them, I accidentally selected US as country of citizenship thinking that I was selecting the country of my address.

I answered no that question on N400 because I did not remember until now that I check and see it.

I don’t think it a big deal, since you have never voted 🗳 or lie, that was a mistake.

in my i751 I forget to add my husband’s son, so when I was call for the interview I was shaking and I wanted to call a lawyer, but I was broke so I didn’t. We went to interview he asked us about my husband’s child name, and it wasn’t a big deal. Relax, don’t stress yourself.

maybe contact a lawyer and ask him or her if it a big deal. Which I think it not.

it is well

I *think* they’re more concerned with actions of greater consequence such as voting, or declaring yourself a citizen for some other sort of benefit.  Mistakes happen, and that’s a fairly small one.  A reasonable person understands clicking the wrong box or drop down choice is easy to do without malicious intent.  Try not to worry, but, if it will give you more peace of mind, try contacting the local bar association in your county.  Most should have an attorney referral service where they can connect you with an attorney who will offer a free (or deeply discounted) 30 minute consult.
