I have a question

Did anyone had to study those definitions of word?!

I never heard about that until right now😳😳😳😳

Yes... some of the few people were asked about the definition. The purpose of the definition is to make sure what ever the interviewer is asking you should know the meaninig of it specially in the yes/no question for example have you ever been part of vigilante? 99 percent will answer No but do you know what vigilante means.  So vigilante means people who act as police but are not appointed by the officials.

So the purpose of vocabulary is actually you know the meaning of the questions which they ask.

Who told you you might be asked this?

The applicant needs to understand the words used in the N400 application.  Otherwise, how could you answer N400 questions correctly?  For example, if the N400 question asked, have you participated in genocide, you need to know what genocide means to answer the question correctly.  They may ask if your English language skills are questionable.

And if there’s an issue with this - this is what an interpreter is for.

But my question really related to who had told @Giovanna024 this.

edit - but if she is concerned about this, she can specify which words she’s not certain  about and I’m sure we will be happy to help.
