Question about citizenship interview

So my wife finally got her interview letter for citizenship. I looked over the necessary documents needed to be taken to the interview.

We have all the documents except for one. It's asking for Spouse's naturalization certificate or certificate of citizenship.

I don't have those as I acquired citizenship through my mother when I was a minor.

I only have a US passport which is what we used when we initially applied for the N-400.

They never asked for anything else up to this point and now there's an interview date set.

Is this going to be an issue?

I also have my mother's naturalization certificate if that works.

Thanks for any help.

When she filed the online application, how did she answer the Spouse Citizenship portion? For instance, I included my husband's US passport page so I suggest walking with your US passport and your mom's naturalization cert just in case.

Yes, that's what we did and submitted the copy of the US passport online. No issues with that. Got biometrics done shortly after and not a word until now.

But the interview letter is specifically asking for a certificate of citizenship or naturalization certificate which is why I'm worried. We plan on taking my Passport plus my mom's naturalization certificate just in case.

You never got a N-600? Expensive as heck but I’ll be getting one for my son so he will have it.
You have a passport that is also proof of citizenship.

I was probably 10 or 12 when I got my citizenship. This was many years ago. My parents did it and all I got was a US passport. Not sure how they went about doing it all. I never did apply for an N-600. Yes, it's expensive and I didn't think it was necessary since I have a passport. Not to mention, I don't have most of the information they're asking since I was just a kid when all this happened. I don't have a green card or information on port of entry. This was all in the mid 1990s.

Not going to help you unfortunately but this is exactly why I am applying for an expensive as hell n600 for my kid as well as a passport, because one day when I’m gone she might need info like this and it’s all lost. Even if the original CoC is lost too, there will be a record of it and a replacement will be possible.
