I-129 lost certificate of naturalization - Help me

Guys, 

 

I'm a naturalized US citizen filing for my fiance the I-129 form. In the 42a the question is asking for the naturalization certificate number but unfortunately I lost it. What should I do in this case ? 

Can I leave the boxes black and attach a copy of my US passport as proof of citizenship?  It takes about 5 months to apply/get a replacement ! 

 

Any help would be appreciated.

First, I would apply for a replacement in case you need it in the future. Second, if you have a passport then you can use that instead of your naturalization certificate.

You can submit the information from your US Passport as proof of US citizenship. If in the future you would ike to have a copy of your certificate unforutunately it will cost $345. A simple step by step explanation can be read here https://www.wikihow.com/Replace-a-Naturalization-Certificate
