It says on the flowchart that I have to apply for a SSN before marriage license? Then after we get married, we have to visit the SSN office again and do it again? I am confused here.

Based on this site, it looks like I have to apply for more forms such as: i-131 and 1-765

Please help here. I am looking for my fiance to get a job and adjust her status as soon as possible. What would be the clearest and fastest steps that must be done.

I-765 is employment authorization,  takes 5 to 7 months

YMMV

Depends is she is changing her name.

She will not be working any time soon, one of the issues with a K1.

You're not required to apply for the SSN prior to marriage. It's only "recommeneded" that you do so as many find that they need the SSN to begin comingling assests to support the AOS filing.

just a heads up as you seem a little unaware of the process, you will need to pay $1225 to adjust her status once your married, and its best to get this filed within the 90 day k1 visa window.

Your next steps are get the SSN sorted

Get marriage license and marry

Apply for AOS .. a good outline of what you will need to file is here

My recommendation is to apply for the Social Secuity Number ASAP in her maiden name.  Then go back and change it after marriage.

If you apply in her married name the whole process can be delayed because her name won't watch what is in the DHS computers and because some SSA offices will give bad info like "Oh, now that you are married we can't give you the SSN you have to wait for EAD/green card."

You need to get the social security card application approved with at least 14 days left on her I-94, i.e. by day 76 after she enters.

And sometimes it takes weeks for them to verify her in the system and agree to start processing it.  So keep it simple and just do it in her maiden name and then change the name on it later.

You apply for the I-131 and I-765 along with her I-485 application to adjust status after marriage. But don't worry about that yet. Focus on getting her the SSN as soon as you can.

Oh, and she needs to bring two forms of ID to the SSA office, meaning birth certificate plus passport.
