I551 stamp infopass appointment

Hello

Does anyone know the USCIS policy or rule on how far in advance you can request a call back to schedule an info pass appointment to renew an I551 stamp?

Right now we cannot get past the tier 1 USCIS contract dingbats, they are claiming we must be under the 30 day expiration window for my wife’s current I551 stamp before we can even request a call back from a tier 2 agent to setup an info pass appointment. If anyone has any links to the USCIS policy on this can you post?

Timeline

We were told the same thing (30 days) and then the whole call back thing was a process made in hell. We ended up calling about 5 times, each time they promised to call back, and never did until we were about 4 days from everything expiring.  This part will not be fun.

Thirty days is what I've typically seen as well, unless possibly if there are plans to travel overseas before that 30 day period and will last until after the card would have expired.

Hi everyone

I understand the no stamp before 30 days until expiration, I am talking about they won't even let us schedule a call back to setup an appointment which would fall within the 30 day time period until we are already under 30 days. We are only 5 weeks out of expiration and they want us to just keep waiting to request a call back to schedule an appointment which would easily fall within the 30 day idiocy. This does not sound correct to me...This was so much simpler before when you could just schedule your own appointment online.
