Good news. After almost one year. My brother's I-290B was approved. Some people will argue that you should file a new  i-130 but I believe each individual case is unique.  In my brother's case, filing a new i-130 petition will make him lose the f2A priority date and put him in F2B category which would have taken another 7 to 8 years.

I am glad the i-290b was approved and his i-130 F2A has been immediately opened.

Congrats! Keep us posted about future updates. I have also received a request for late registered birth certificate. I am trying to collect as much document as possible. I have also paid to start the DNA test. Hope, that should be enough.

I submitted EOIR-29 since June june 2019.  I submitted form  I-130 with my church wedding certificate, after over a year Immigration requested for additional evidence to support my claim that the wedding certificate is not recognized, I forwarded the court marriage certificate to them in less than 30days. After about two weeks my I-130 was denied that they are two difference date of marriage. I filed for EOIR-29 timely (SINCE JUNE 2019), 12/11/2019 I got a letter that my EOIR-29 was transferred to the National Benefit Center, that office has jurisdiction over my case and will reach out to me through writing for a decision on my case and in February 2021 I got a correspondence from USCIS that my EOIR-29 has been forwarded to Board of Immigration appeal, they now have jurisdiction over my case. I contacted BIA immediately and I was told they don't have any pending case for me . Please does any one have any similar case. I am so confused.

Thank you Romana for your response. Please accept my apologies for asking more questions. Did it take almost a year after filing eoir to get the “date of birth update”? It’s about 10 months since you got the update. That’s a long time!
