I am a permanent resident filing for my wife who is already in F1. Since f2a category is all current in latest visa bulletin, she is also eligible for Adjustment of Status-i 485. But I am having hard time to understand what is the advantage of filing i-485 as she still has to wait for i-130 approval. Will she get an EAD+AP until i-130 gets approved and interview scheduled?

Do you want to adjust or go through Consular Processing.

Yah, so will she be called for an interview while her i-130 still waiting for approval?

I 485 is what makes the adjustment process happen, no I 485 no adjustment.
