Hello Guys,

 

I'm a US citizen and applying for i-130 online for my parents and i'm only able to add one beneficiary at a time.

Do i need to file for two separate i-130 for my Mom and dad or i'm missing something online?

Yup.  Separate all the way

A parent petition (IR-5 category) is an immediate relative category. Immediate relative categories do not support derivatives.

That sucks. I believe this should have been done in one application for both. After filing separate for both Mother and Father and they will combine it. is that how it works?

It doesn't state as OR-5. It says online I-130. What do you mean by don't support derivatives

Sorry, typo! It was supposed to say "IR-5".

 

An I-130 is a petition. The resulting visa would be an IR-5.

Derivatives like a spouse or unmarried under-21 children.

So to answer the question : I need file for two separate i-130. One for my mom and 2nd for my dad correct?

No they are each processed separately. 2 separate petitions , two separate visa applications .. the only concession is that the NVC  will waive one AOS fee

Read each question literally .. and simply. With the information you have given us, the only truthful answer is “yes”.

Yes, they have been in the US before. It's not asking under what status they came, just if they ever entered. This is Q.45.

Q.46 only applies if they are in the US at the time you file the I-130.

Q.47-50 should be completed.

While you file separate petitions,  once they get to NVC,  you can ask to have them be "joined" so that they will move through the system together and the interviews will occur same day
