 Very salient point . Indded. Even when we held both houses and the white house they bullied.  Perhaps it was the swamp colluding and the rest was political theater. 

 

How many times did the Republican house vote to repeal Obamacare when Obama was president? Once obama was gone how many times

It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the coming weeks.  Hopefully, the Turtle holds out to Pelosi.  Of course he is under a lot of heat even though he is following exactly the playbook from the Clinton trial, but but but Trump.

It's entirely about politics. 

 

When Democrats should've impeached Bush and had indicted countless people in the administration for the Iraq War, Pelosi went with the focus groups and realized it was better to simply present her image as someone who's bipartisan. Republicans, led by Sensenbrenner, did their best to stifle investigation into something the vast majority of Americans had interest in, and ironically today in bipartisan fashion acknowledge it was a sham. Yet, conveniently there's still no discussion about holding people accountable then for the trillions wasted, thousands of Americans killed, more thousands wounded, Iraqis killed, and so forth, all because of their lying.

 

Pelosi didn't strongarm Republicans on the Bush thing, she caved to them, but more-so, caved to focus groups, which tells you all you need to know about the facade about doing what's right. 

 

tl;dr-> Congress is a bipartisan joke.

The interesting thing about this is a political and questionable quid pro quo seems to be at the heart of it.  Isn’t politics in general all about quid pro quos?  Don’t politicians make a bunch of campaign promises for our votes, and don’t elected politicians constantly negotiate their votes for something in return in those formerly smoke filled cloak rooms?

Trump and Pence will be democratically impeached+removed, making Pelosi democratically the President!

 

Then she will democratically appoint Hillary her VP and resign, making the 2016 heir apparent the next President (as she was owed) in true democratic fashion!
