Did make me wonder what led to that, only thing I remember was the picture of that lady,

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Yeah, I also selected that picture, but I didn't notice it was a vaguely sexy lady in low light until I had chosen it. It just looked moody, which appealled to me.

Friday quiz time! We haven't done one of these in a while.

Today's quiz: Which one of the seven deadly sins are you most guilty of? Courtesy of Buzzfeed.

https://www.buzzfeed.com/isabellalouise/tell-us-more-about-yourself-and-well-reveal-which-d25me4rjdi

I am most guilty of:

Oh dear......

Mine were lust, greed, gluttony, wrath and sloth.

Well, my slothfulness prevents that. I've just had more time to work on these kinds of things. :P

Just kidding. Actually I got lust too. I think that might be the only answer.

Have you ever done the Dante's inferno quiz? It's kind of related to the seven sins. It tells you what level of hell you might end up on. Somehow I just missed level 2 (lust) on that one and then ended up getting sent all the way down to level 6 (heretics).

Oh that is NOT meant to be taken on a phone! It made me feel like I was Joe Biden's age looking at all those tiny letters.

This was my favorite:

A pimp is a good thing to be.

Here's my result:

(Click on a level for more info)

Purgatory Repending [sic] Believers Very Low
Level 1 - Limbo Virtuous Non-Believers Very Low
Level 2 Lustful Very High
Level 3 Gluttonous Very High
Level 4 Prodigal and Avaricious Low
Level 5 Wrathful and Gloomy High
Level 6 - The City of Dis Heretics Very High
Level 7 Violent Very High
Level 8 - The Malebolge Fraudulent, Malicious, Panderers High
Level 9 - Cocytus Treacherous High

I had to put in the [sic], that misspelling was killing me.

Wow. At least you're not greedy. :P You can almost go to any level you want.

Mine was more straight forward. To get from level 6 to level 2,  I either need to become more religious or more lustful. I think that's an easy choice.

This is fascinating, and actually an excellent self-check.

Level 1 = Very High

Level 2 = High

Levels 6, 9 = Very Low

All others = Low

Sorry to report that we are apparently nearly a saint, but we Advanced Simians often are, si man.

-------

Level 2 is Limbo, which immediately brought to mind the skit from The Muppet Show with the immortal song:

Limbo

Everybody limbo

Limbo

All the day.

Miss Piggy had an extremely rough time going under the limbo pole.  Sure wish that I had some link to that skit...

Interesting that in Dante's time, sloth was used more to refer to spiritual laziness, so the concept was more closely related to heresy. There isn't really a level defined for laziness. Seems modern (physically lazy) sloths would get a free pass in Dante's inferno.
