A bit of an update on the little one. After thorough examination of his innards, there was no mass detected, and microscopic examination showed no lymphoma! It does show however that he does have a serious disease of the stomach and small intestine - kind of like Crohns. Three days after starting therapy he has started eating again like his 'normal' (which isn't 100% normal because he's very particular about what to eat), and I'm hopeful to get some weight back on him. They caution that while the C word isn't present at the moment, because of the changes he's already sustained it is a possibility in the future and further invasive tests may be needed $$$$$.

The name "Buena Vista", Spanish for "Good View", can often be heard pronounced locally as "Byoo-na Vista". This Americanized pronunciation was specified by Alsina Dearheimer, who chose this name for the town, which was officially selected over other names (Cottonwood, Mahonville) on the occasion of the town's incorporation. Alternate pronunciations include "Bwenna Veesta" (Spanish pronunciation) and simply "Biewnie." Many residents simply refer to the town as "BV".

I hadn't even thought of that.  I expect we will hear something about hemlock/wedlock very soon.
