Hi I'm miserable today.

They are telling me my 12lb ball of fluffy terror might have the C word.

Well it looks like the C word, but they have to crack him open tomorrow and find out for sure. $$$$$$$.

They tell me if we follow up with some expensive treatments and maintenance medications he could continue on ($$$$$$$). I hope they are not lying to me.

I'm a bit at a loss. He's only ten.. yes he's 'acting' older, but I've had others that lived to nearly 20. I hope he's had a good peaceful life with me taken from whatever hell hole he came out of... but right now he's so sickly.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. ❤️ I lost my baby at a too young age. He was my joy and constant companion through some really hard stuff. You will know what is more kind for him when you know more. Sometimes, yes, spending the money is more kind if the prognosis is otherwise excellent. But you will know if it's not. You will know it because of the connection you have with your boy.

You have given him a beautiful life so far, and I hope you have many more days of that beautiful life to share with him. May you know peace and hope right now. I know how hard this can be.

I am sorry for your struggles. We are at the other end of the deal with a new pup and those joys and struggles. I already dread that day when he will be there.

I'm so sorry, Y ma'am.  This is an awful fear, and even more awful if it's true.

Repeat this to yourself (aloud works best) until it's the foremost thought in your forebrain, Y ma'am.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

The surgery went well so I'm told. But then the snowstorm came. He was supposed to remain in critical care for a few days, but the staff were snowed in, so the vet has transported him to their home to watch over him personally. Oh gosh my heart.... he's probably so scared and missing his momma.

Feeling for you.  Our 13 year old Maltese is not doing well.  She has a very significant heart murmur and an enlarged heart.  Coughs constantly if not medicated, and she is on several.  She has lost a lot of weight and now her hair is thinning.  Oh yes, she has Cushing's.

An ultrasound showed some small mass on her liver, but my vet did not recommend surgery saying these little dogs go down hill fast once you start cutting on them.  Currently her quality of life seems fine.  Just a matter of time...

My first celeb sighting in a while -- probably because I never go anywhere anymore! We had driven to West Hollywood to pick up lunch at Tender Greens, which has become something of a Sunday afternoon tradition over the past couple of months. We usually find a quiet side street to park on, eat our food, and then do the weekly shop at Bristol Farms, which is very nearby.

Today was no different, but I parked on San Vicente near north of Santa Monica, because we were both starving and didn't want to drive around looking for the perfect place. So we're chatting and listening to a podcast and I stare at this beautiful 60s SL-class silver Mercedes convertible go by. Then I notice the driver, who looks like a movie star. Then I realize, he IS a movie star. I nudged my husband and I said, that's Josh Duhamel! And he said, who?

Josh Duhamel:

So random. His car was AMAZING though.

Trust me, it was pretty random. I thought he was called "Josh Hamilton" and then I realized he'd been in a movie called "Win a Date with Tad Hamilton" almost 20 years ago and I got it mixed up.

He's been in the news a bit as the replacement for Armie Hammer in the new JLO film as Hammer is a class A ... bottomhole.

He is home and very huffy at his momma. How dare I leave him for so long! They have tried to convince him to eat this special tinned slop and he's skeptical and still barely taking anything. Getting so thin.. I just hope the lab gets answers for us asap. Of course he has quite a big incision and he's generally painful and grumpy.
