Reminds me of my old Squash days in the UK, if one had had a dodgy curry the night before always considered good practice to use the Ladies toilet.

That explains a lot of things about the state of the ladies' changing rooms at the sports center during my year in Bristol...... 💩

We just had a conversation that went along these lines: I was saying I wanted to pick up dinner (spag bol) tonight around 8:30pm and then watch the last two episodes of Warrior Nun, then have an early night so he can be up in time to watch the football. He said, "As you wish, sweetest, you wear the trousers in this relationship." I demurred and said that we were both equals, and I was surprised he thought I was the dominant partner. He replied, "Nah, nothing like that. Look at you, you're wearing trousers. It's bloody hot and I'm wearing shorts."

Awful dad joke.

Any of you ever seen one of these. we have always used this 45lbs huge jump box to start cars with dead batteries. One of our lot guys wipped this out the other day. Very light and compact and has jumped 5 cars without a recharge. I was impressed.

Al said he was getting us something helpful for the kitchen, so that he doesn't accidentally put dirty plates in with the clean ones. I think I am being trolled via dishwasher now.

Off to go try and decide on a wedding lunch menu with my mother, who has decided that she doesn't want a caterer at her house for the reception and she will handle everything. I think she's just super bored.

Just a rant:  but has anyone gone many days without sleep? It's happening to me more and more often for various stupid reasons, but this week takes the cake. My dog has been through hell in his life before he met me. As a result he is fiercely protective of his momma, ridiculously devoted to the point of anxiety/neurotic, and his quirks are many but his love his great. One of his biggest quirks has always been eating. Some dogs live to eat.... and he does not. Doesn't matter what it is. Could be the greatest grilled burger with cheese sitting in front of him and he'd shrug, look bored, and go back to sleep. Eventually I settled on home cooked, as I've always done for my rescues with health issues. As he's getting older, he's developed some lumps and bumps of concern that were giving some some movement restrictions so the hubby suggested let's get 'em taken off. The vet was pleased with this decision, as it costs a lot, and suggested that we open up the demonspawn from hell (his mouth of stank) and give it a deep clean. What a transformation! I left with a very happy and all the sudden eager to eat dog (with even less teeth than before but he didn't seem to care). His incision sites all seemed to heal, and a couple weeks ago he returned for the yearly injections. This week everything stopped. My happy newly discovered love for food dog, went back to not wanting anything - at all. Monday started the vomiting, followed by much unpleasant bathroom stuff, and the continued refusal of all food. Tuesday any small amounts of food coaxed to eat were promptly brought back up.. and by yesterday he couldn't even hold down water. No sleep had at all, because he was up every ten minutes in agony. And that was when I rolled him over this morning to find something shocking. On his abdominal scar which was once nothing remarkable has formed a disgusting abscess. I'm completely puzzled. I call immediately but am told the vet is on vacation, try tomorrow? Or I could go to an emergency vet. Now you may wonder why I haven't taken the little guy to an emergency vet already, but you see I did that once with my previous dog, and they almost killed him and charged $3000 for my troubles. By the end of this afternoon, my little guy is so weary from not sleeping, momma is weary from not sleeping, and I've gone through my bag of tricks for sickly dogs that I am well accustomed to, that he finally agreed on a tiny amount of chicken and banana..... and has finally slept now for an entire hour without vomiting! That being said, what on earth could be wrong with an incision that seemingly healed weeks ago? He even had post-op checks. And how much is this one going to cost me? And will I ever get sleep?

Sending you lots of love and healing thoughts for your doggo, yuna. ❤️ The best you can do right now is what you're doing -- getting him to eat a little, getting him some rest, and most of all letting him know that momma is there, no matter what. You're doing a great job in really difficult circumstances.

Sounds like you have a very sick doggie.  Having recently been through that with a cat, I'd get him to ANY vet right away.

Pup is at the vet this morning. After holding down some food he finally allowed momma to sleep and get some sleep himself. Waiting to hear something from the vet, because we aren't allowed in.
