Question: Is it derailing the derailment exempt thread to post about topics that are on topic for the entire subforum (i.e., a current event or hot social topic), or is the exemption so broad that it makes this thread completely incapable of being derailed?

Well if anyone could take an NO Topic Thread off topic, it would be you dear

Since none of us are in Berkley (or wherever you happen to be RN), then perhaps it is clear to you that we have no idea?

LOL, no, it was the first video Ban Hammer posted (now removed) that was for this song: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schrei_nach_Liebe

Now I understand a little better with the correct video, though I am a little confused about the Lara Croft theme and the poor sound mixing between the music and the sound effects.

I have heard of TWO of those bands/artists -- only the first two, because my dad used to play them in the car all the time growing up. :dead:

I have watched The Big Lebowski a gazillion times (the ex loved it, so does Alex, so no chance of ever escaping it), and that scene where The Dude tells the taxi driver he hates the Eagles really resonated with me. I can't tell you how many times my dad told my sister and me that the person who is driving gets to select the musical accompaniment, so we needed to deal with it.

However, The Dude also loves Credence, so you win some, you lose some.

Love the Eagles and Journey.. but I will always love Led Zep and Sabbath the most.

Mom used to tell me stories of the days when a telephone number was very similar to a local radio station. Calls at all hours of the night of stoners screaming down the receiver they wanted to hear Floyd.

As promised, some pics from today’s hard work at becoming a scientist.  Combining elements to produce a new product is nothing short of amazing.  (And I took some liberties with my wife’s MOST amazing, hand-squeezed margaritas while I created new things and cleaned up the garden beds)

The beginning. A standing rib roast that is cold and slimy to the touch.

Fully dressed and ready to party. (Fresh rosemary grown in my garden)

Resting in place while global warming takes over:

7 hours and a little more than two hand-squeezed margaritas later, and suddenly it turns into a prime rib fit for a King!!

Led was good.  Don’t remember every listening to Black Sabbath. Wasn’t into heavy metal in my youth.
