Burritos are serious business! After that we stopped by the Juicery for more juices, much teasing ensued, I was asked if I knew I was acting like Gwyneth Paltrow these days blah blah blah with all this juicing mumbo jumbo. And doesn't Gwyneth sell those jade eggs, will I be wanting some of them too?

Then we called my parents on the ride to the supermarket, Alex asked my mom if she knew about my newly diagnosed brain disease called Juiceitis, which was followed by her saying juices are fine but just make your own, and my dad saying he was just going to buy me a juicer. I said I already have one, I just don't want to make my own bloody juice!

I honestly don't know why everyone seems to have an opinion about juices. It hardly seems like a polarizing topic. I like them, they're tasty. Better for me than the $5 ice cream sandwich I was guilted into buying and eating today because he wanted one for himself but wanted to share the experience with me.

Oh god no! I admit I went to  one of the pop up shops she has a couple of times but I think all I ever bought there were an Ansel Adams photography book and a ceramic tray for keys. Which broke in a move.

It would be helpful if you elaborate. There are general standards for levels of pesticides and fertilizers required for organic certification. I would say it is more important to look at the actual ingredients. Some ingredients are not good for you regardless, and being organic doesn't change that,  but I would not say the organic label doesn't give you some information.

There is zero evidence that "organic" have any benefit other than draining your pocket book.  The Organic process vastly lowers the yields per acre which leads to less food available for the world. Organic is a great big tree huger rip off.

Should you go organic?

I mean if a bunch of tree huggers at Harvard can see it LOL

Nobody thinks there is a nutritional difference between organic and non organic food. The researcher seems to have overlooked the main point. The lack of pesticides and chemicals being ingested is the advantage.

It really depends on what you're eating. I mentioned the Dirty Dozen and the Clean Fifteen a while back. It's worthwhile for some things but not everything.

Had another Glamology shake today. :) :P

Also my friend Caitlin sent me these screencaps yesterday from a show we're watching together on Netflix which hit a little too close to home:

I'm not saying that maybe something similar hasn't happened to me at the Bristol Farms in South Pasadena ... :innocent:

But it wasn't olives.

As I said before... organic is virtually meaninlgless.  It is not a regulated term.  Only means suckers pay more money for the same thing, typically.

Got to get me some Organic clothing... Talking about a sucker born every second

Did you mean meaningless perhaps

If you want to know some men's clothing lines that specialize in sustainable, organic fashion, just let me know. :)

As for number one, that is from Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce, Season 3. It stars the woman who played Cuddy on House. It's pretty good! I've been bingeing it.

Second, I am now reformed when it comes to Netflix. :innocent: Everyone must pay for their own. New year, new rules.
