Names are important I think and generally me and my husband always wanted to choose a name that has a meaning behind it.. not something purely that's fashionable or trendy. We also like the idea of utilizing middle names as a way of honoring our ancestors. So if we ever manage to have kids, one will be named after his father and the others would be named after my grandfather and great grandmother.

I will admit, Michael is the one name I have still under consideration.. I think the wife would go for it if I said this, it's one of the few names that don't violate our plethora of rules, but right now its among the "if after months of fighting it I really can't find another name" options, which I'm sure the son would love to hear when asking how we chose his name. 😎

Finally got a hold of a good nurse. One of the only reasons he's still in the hospital is because doctors that have been called to consult on his case have not responded yet because they are too busy. At any case it seems he's going to need a nephrologist, however no doctor wants to physically see a patient anymore.. so? What caused all this? His refusal to drink and his CKD caused medications he takes to build up in his system and not get flushed out thus resulting in the BP drop, toxin build up, and AKI. Had we not taken him in, he'd probably be in sepsis. His brain scan thankfully is unchanged, so no recurrent brain bleed. He's back on solid foods, because he started refusing to eat the liquid diet (grrr). He just doesn't care. I know we'll end up back in this same situation in another 6 months again.

Hopefully all ends well and with a healthy release and he appreciates the efforts, maybe recognize the pressure by loved ones potentially saved organs, limbs, and life.

 

Weirdly, it makes me think of the poor people who are alone, locked up in the house, and don't have friends/family to look after them like this.
