Someone at work just told me they were down to 4 rolls of TP and their 3 year old basically flushed 1 whole roll just for fun. That brought back memories, I remember my son doing that years ago. Better keep an eye on them.

Wife told me today that several yers ago in Russia they didn't have toilet paper....they used newspaper.  Told her my story about being in Egypt just after the Soviets exited and heard the same there.

Guess we may have to subscribe to the local print version of the news.

Watching The Return of the Scarlet Pimpernel while Al is finishing up some code. It is not anywhere near as good as the first film, the one with Leslie Howard.

Going to switch over to Vanderpump Rules Season 8. I have been saving it up.

Found out two days ago that my wife's daughter, husband, and two little ones that reside in Boston have decided to come down here and move in with us for a month or so until this virus problem gets under control.😲 They live in a small apartment and now daycare is closed as well as the zoo and most everything else.  They feel this will be a better environment for them.  At least our weather is great and the kids can be outside a lot.  Lucky for the parents as they have jobs where they can work remotely.

I reluctently agreed, but requested they bring their own toilet paper.

Having a 2 1/2 year old and 6 month old in the house is going to be trying for us "old" folks.  Even our city beach here is now closed.  Suggested to the wife we can let them stay in the house here and we will stay down in the Keys!

At least for the first part of next week I will be in the office for a good portion of the day providing emergency care for those in need.  Wife says she is going too, to get away from the little ones.

They are here.  Arrived 1:30 AM today!  OMG.

Trying to figure out how I will get away from them daily.  FL Governor has closed all dental offices (except for emergency care) until May 8 due to the state shortage of PPE (protective gear) and worry about spread of virus.  We are certainly at risk as we are so close to patients and subject to spray and aerosol from each one.  Worried how to keep my employees.

Man this Wuhan virus response is just ridiculous sometimes.

Wife had her anatomical ultrasound the other day. We chose this place 2 years ago for our son because they do 3D anatomical (there's usually few clinics that do this on top of the usual one) scans.

How this was planned out weeks ago is, daughter (8) had school today, son (1, almost 2) had daycare, even though it was a day off work regardless of the virus. So it was going to be mom and I seeing how healthy our new baby is, and hopefully get a good look at their genitals as the wife knows I wasn't into picking names until I knew what gender. I had talked to them on the phone when they did their confirmation call asking about having both children in the room for the scan, they said it would be no problem.

So we go in, everyone is separated in the seating area because of the virus. We all sit together in a corner of the place. We then get up to go in when wife is called, but they then tell us we all have to stay back because they have to stop the spread of the virus. I'm like, uh, the spread for whom? They're like, you have 4 people in the same room, we don't want that many people in the same room because its unhealthy. I'm like we all live in the same house, we're regularly in the same room. It's called a family. They're like, rules are rules, even though it wasn't even a rule. Basically, went out of their way to be douchebags. I told them that this was a rollercoaster pregnancy, the incorrect miscarriage diagnosis, my worries, etc., nothing convinced them to be reasonable. But because wife kept asking the technician inside her room, eventually, they let us in for like 30 seconds to rapidly see the baby's healthy, and saw his twig and berries. It was the technician's sole discretion the entire time, not some ridiculous rule. So we're having another boy. Ruined the moment though with being jerks, they even decided not to do the 3D, which is why people even go there for their ultrasounds as the EFW ones are far more roomy for just the normal anatomicals and they have doctors to give a post scan interview, whereas these people don't (wife just has a follow up with her OB/maternity clinic that are seeing her regularly now anyways). Then I had to leave the ultrasound room. Wife told me they were almost done so to get the car started as she's starving, so I took the kids out, and noticed as we were leaving, they proceeded to kick everyone else out and make them (even those with an appointment) wait outside or in their cars. Probably sucked as a few people waited outside in the -6C weather, others burned up their gas keeping themselves warm.

I am currently swigging directly from a bottle of house-brand lemonade from CVS.

You get an upvote for pedantry. :P

We're watching Tiger King which everyone really should watch. I have been reading about Joe Exotic for the better part of a year because he's such a compelling, bizarre character and now an entire Netflix series! Really enjoying this.

Saturday check in. Alex has just opened this and I had a taste. I can't tell if I like it or if it's just too weird to enjoy properly.

Despite what it says at the end of this article, it is kind of weird!
