Oh yuna, I am so sorry to read all of that. I wish I could, at the very least, bring you some fresh food -- I went to Whole Foods yesterday to pick up a few things, plug some holes in the cupboard, and I was surprised to see tons of fresh meat and fish. That had not been the case on Sunday at another supermarket. Still no canned or boxed soup, no pasta, no peanut butter. I tried to get all purpose flour but there was none. I haven't seen it anywhere for a week. I feel like the produce supply here is good, except for bananas.

And very sorry to hear about the death and illness in your sphere. I wish I could do more than send my best thoughts for you, and the strength and resilience that I can. I am trying to stay positive, not only for my own benefit, but to pass it on. Sometimes just knowing someone is thinking of you and wishing it could be better lends its own strength. I don't want to be presumptuous and say my wishes do that, but here they are.

Can you at least just get outside for fresh air, even just to walk around the block or down the street and back again? If you want to commiserate about having a partner suddenly at home, go for it. I thought it would be great to have him here, but he's a stressed out ball of nerves because of the market fluctuations. I just stay away from the office because it doesn't sound happy in there. For me, going for walks in the neighborhood have helped.

Wishing you all the best again. I would have given you a reaction to your post, but none of them sum up my sympathy.

Has everyone heard about the Netflix Party rollout? I'm going to give it a shot tonight with my sister which sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Ask Jenn to join you?

Well at the end of Season 1 (SPOILER ALERT!) the main character (played by the woman who played Dr Cuddy in House) gets back together with the man she's divorcing. So that would be VERY scary for Al, and even more so for me.

If I ever talk about how Voldy isn't so bad after all and maybe we should give it another shot, please encourage me to have a nice liedown. Maybe a permanent liedown.

I'm fine with my husband working from home.. in fact I prefer it, because I know he's safe, and we don't bother each other. It's just I've never seen him this unsettled in my life, and usually he's unflappable. He never even had a shower last night or ate dinner because he was busy trying to get work stuff set up and nearly faceplanted on the computer from lack of sleep. For now he's doing half in the office and half from home, but honestly I don't think this college is prepared. Half the teachers are not tech savvy, there's no way they can handle this. And what, do they expect the techs to drive over to their house to fix whenever they break a PC?

I'm hoping we can get out to the local park next week if they don't close that.

Found out two days ago that my wife's daughter, husband, and two little ones that reside in Boston have decided to come down here and move in with us for a month or so until this virus problem gets under control.😲 They live in a small apartment and now daycare is closed as well as the zoo and most everything else.  They feel this will be a better environment for them.  At least our weather is great and the kids can be outside a lot.  Lucky for the parents as they have jobs where they can work remotely.

I reluctently agreed, but requested they bring their own toilet paper.

Having a 2 1/2 year old and 6 month old in the house is going to be trying for us "old" folks.  Even our city beach here is now closed.  Suggested to the wife we can let them stay in the house here and we will stay down in the Keys!

At least for the first part of next week I will be in the office for a good portion of the day providing emergency care for those in need.  Wife says she is going too, to get away from the little ones.

Someone at work just told me they were down to 4 rolls of TP and their 3 year old basically flushed 1 whole roll just for fun. That brought back memories, I remember my son doing that years ago. Better keep an eye on them.
