"Looking" is not cheating, fair enough.

"Gasdoxing" , do you have a trade mark on that?  You have a gift my friend.

I felt so special. we had nominated her for a membership in ORWCD club and then she goes and does this. I am crushed. All those countless hours painfully hearing about getting messy in bars and Alex's chavniaust traits.

Well the MDL always got to be trying to put werds in your mouth

I have no idea what ORWCD stands for but you should tell me.

I only posted over there because I have been told again and again that I shouldn't be taking things off topic. So I go and I make a thread in Off Topic about something not about Current Events or Hot Social Topics to discuss in greater depth (hopefully) something I am very interested in, where perhaps I can find more sympathetic/interested people. And now that's not right?

I do post in other forums, you know, and ask actual immigration related questions. It isn't all about you guys, sorry. :P

I went to Eastern Tennessee once and could not understand a thing the natives said until the 3Rd week, then I understood everything they spoke.

I think I just passed the three week bar with Nature Boy

Thank you, Nature Boy. ❤️ I do have a tendency to meander when I write here, and I don't mean to offend when I do. And thank you for your indulgence of this. Al says it's also part of what makes me who I am, though I doubt you'd say it's also what makes me so endearing.

And yes, some of us ARE still very much in the process! I am having a hard time pulling the trigger and starting wedding planning. We'd set a date for the end of this year, and then I got cold feet and now we have no date again. It really is down to me and feeling scared that I'm just going to f### it all up again like I did last time. I know, different person, one who isn't emotionally abusive, one who loves me for who I am right now rather than what I might be someday if I jumped through hoops and fit in particular boxes and smothered my personality in pursuit of making someone else feel that I'm "perfect." I'm not perfect, and I never will be, but I'm good enough and a work in progress. Same goes for him. I need to get over it all and just get married.

Aaaaaaand, there I go, meandering again.

And YOU get 3 (so far) rep points for something this old and weak, whereas we come up with brilliant originals that apparently won't be appreciated in our lifetime?

Sounds like first-degree heterodox tortfeasin' gone wild...

We'll see your tense moment and raise it, see man:

A salesman goes to Boston for the first time.  He claims his luggage and goes out front to hail a taxi.  The taxi screeches up; the driver opens the door and says, "Where to, pal?"

The salesman thinks for a moment.  "Hmmm; this is my first time in Boston," he says.  "Take me to a good place to get Scrod."

"Y'know, pal," says the driver, "I've heard that request put in many different ways, in several different dialects, and in a few different languages, but this is the very first time I've ever heard it put in the pluperfect subjunctive!"

In my Instagram feed. I could not have made up a post that was more stereotypically what I think some people think I must be very concerned about.

That is a lot more thinking than I think people think on here.

Presumably panic buying in LA? Riot Police outside Whole Foods?
