What is an FV friend?

So I got my homecooked meal featuring artisanal cheese and uncured ham. Let's just say that while I appreciate the effort, I wasn't expecting or terribly thrilled by a Lean Pocket.

Alex thought it was extremely funny. He had the meatball Hot Pockets which he deemed delicious, even though they gave him indigestion. (He deserves it.)

I ate the Lean Pocket (just one) because I was hungry. He will pay for this!

So he fed you a disgusting chemical and sodium filled thing that barely passes as meat, let alone a sustaining meal? Cool. He needs to up his game and do better. Might as well just grab a Lunchable...

He now knows that his attempt at humor did not go down well and payback is in the process of being extracted. :D On our way down to Santa Monica over the weekend, we are stopping in Paso Robles for the night as compromise for my preferred route (Highway 1 coast road, three day mini-break) and his (straight shot through the Central Valley on the 5 South, smells of cow manure much of the way). I am making him do a couples massage with me which he said earlier he did not want to do because it involves getting rubbed with pink Himalayan salt stones which he called "a bunch of woo." Revenge is mine!!!

New year resolution?

Just though are you job hunting?

I have a new consulting gig lined up. I'll probably start up a few weeks after we get settled in the new place.

Pink Himalayan salt IS a bunch of woo, unless one is using it on food.  Cracks me up when I read claims that a hunk of pink salt in my bedroom or living room will help detoxify my air.  Or that having a salt lamp in the room will benefit me.

Rubbish.

It is VERY relaxing to have your back massaged with, trust me. Hot stones feel lovely as part of a session. I don't believe in the "it will realign your electromagnetic core" stuff -- I just like things that feel nice.

I figure Hot Pockets = Hot Stones in terms of payback.

Hot black river stones feel even better than Himalayan salt ones.

How would you know if you don't believe in using Himalayan salt stones (pink or otherwise) as part of a massage?

But I will take your word for it because it's you. 😘

a lot of poo out there, If I see one more FB post suggesting to give Benadryl  to help with snake bite wounds my capleries might explode.

Because I have felt both.  One is smooth, the other rough.  Me no likely rough things on me skin. I am tender.

I get you, but the ones they use look like this:

Very smooth. (I am also very tender.) I had one done in Ojai before I moved up here.

I... cannot even figure out how that would work.

If you say so.  I'd be wary of the ole bait-and-switch once you're face down.  Anything to save a buck for the parlor...

It's at the spa at the resort we're staying at, so not a strip mall cheapie. I HOPE!!!

It will be good to unplug, we're going to avoid going online to the extent that we can until Sunday evening. Just use the phones for maps and making calls while we are on the way down. No football match this weekend for him to get pissy about missing. Just wine tasting, couples massage and ... whatever else. Who knows, maybe I'll get my ring? :P

The Knight Before Christmas, based on a post I recently read.

Accurate. I turned it off at the 15 minute mark. Going to start The Witcher now instead.
