Hello,

I am working on filing out the I-129 F.  My concern is regarding filling out the beneficiary's home address.  My fiancee lives in Ghana where street addresses/mail doesn't function like it does in the US. I have mailed something to him before via FedEX but I had to put his phone number with his address so they could call him to deliver the package.  On the I-129F I don't see where they ask for the beneficiary's phone or email.  My worry is that they will send him a packet and it will not reach him.

Has anyone else dealt with this issue?  How did you handle it.

Thanks.

Apparantly the packets are all sent to the petitioner via email now so you should have no troubles with that. (But I'm only slightly ahead of you in the K1 process so I can't speak yet from personal experience. ) For my fiance, I put down the address of where he works as a mailing address and just put the city and neighborhood for his home address.

Once the application reached the NVC I updated his email with them, so hopefully he'll get any updates along with me.

It is not typical that anything is sent via post to the beneficiary until much later in the process, if at all.  I can't speak to Ghana, but for New Zealand, packet 3 was emailed to me (USC petitioner), and I forwarded it to my then fiancé.  After that he communicated directly with the consulate via email and phone.

The only thing you might want to look into is delivery of the passport after the interview.  I believe that a lot of African countries with postal issues use courier services or in-person pickup by the applicant at the embassy.

I had the same situation, my husband is from Malawi and it was the same way. We just put the city and country for the address and had no problems. Nothing was mailed to him
