How to Send I-134 Affidavit of Support?

What is the best way to send your fiancee the Affidavit of Support (I-134)? Is it required that everything is original and be sent via a paid courier (i.e., FedEx, DHL).  Or is this something you can email and have you fiancee print.  FedEx is soooo expensive. It costs $60-$80 USD general to send documents.  Also, the K1 Guide says prepare your statement from the bank immediately after NOA2. What if it takes 2 months for it to process? Will they still except a letter from 2 months ago?

I would love to see the K1 Guide have more information on how the evidence is sent and if they allow copies.  Also the time limitation before a document is considered expired.

K1 guide cannot possibly account for local variations,  which are many.  That is why we have regional forums.   For Manila,  scan, email,  print locally. Original is not required

YMMV

Ok per the instructions it states:

Copies. You should submit legible photocopies of documents requested, unless the Instructions specifically state that you must submit an original document. USCIS may request an original document at the time of filing or at any time during processing of an application, petition, or request. If USCIS requests an original document from you, it will be returned to you after USCIS determines it no longer needs your original.

Yes, but the uscis doesn't want your i134,  that is given to the embassy upon interview

No where in the i129f instructions does it mention the i134.  Read the instructions carefully,  interpret literally,  do not add or subtract words from what is written

We are actually saying the same thing.  I was referencing to what is needed for NOA2. :)  I still need to know the timing off when to get the bank statements prepared.  Does it have to be current as the month you are preparing the affidavit. The VisaJourney Guide says to prepare them as soon as you get NOA2.

Get the most current documents as you can.

There is nothing "needed for NOA2."  NOA2 is simply the petition approval.  After an approved petition leaves the US (via NVC) to the overseas consulate, you will get packet 3, (which is specific instructions for that consulate) on what the beneficiary should either submit electronically ahead of time, or bring to the interview.

The consulate is NOT bound by any USCIS practice, so quoting and following the uscis for a consulate provided document will potentially get you into trouble.

And as I said before, the k1 guide is not local procedure specific.   For local process for Manila, visit the Philippines regional forum, your eyes will be opened

For Manila,  they are not interested in bank statements.   One year (most recent) tax return or tax return transcripts gets it done (assuming you have the income)

USCIS has nothing to do with the embassy that is Dept. of State.

For the visa application process at the embassy in Manila you are fine to email scanned copies of the I-134, most recent tax return/transcript and W-2.     As noted by some, many times the CO during the interview does not ask for support evidence with the K-1 visa, BUT the documents are listed as required for the interview.

Bank statements or a letter from the bank are NOT needed.    If you are not a new employee you do not need employer letters or pay statement either.

Do NOT follow the guide here on VJ for the visa application process in the Philippines.    Here is the guide for the Philippines:   https://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/us-embassy-usem.html

Also for your questions relating to the visa application process in the Philippines you should post your questions here >>>    https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

After you receive your NOA2 from USCIS your case file is forwarded to NVC, this can can 2-4 weeks, after being patient a little longer you need to EMAIL NVC to acquire your MNL#, info in this link.

Manilla even rarely asks for the I-134.

Whether it is rarely asked for or not, it is listed as required, thus necessary.

There is not a PACKET 3 for Manila, everything is online.

I am sure you do.   Wasn't really posting that toward you, but for others just passing through.  Less confusing if they don't get the idea they could "roll the dice" .. ;)
