Would just a picture of the Green Card be okay to file online?

Hello! Soon I will be filing N-400 (preferably online) and I saw here https://www.uscis.gov/file-online/tips-filing-forms-online that you can basically take a picture of your green card instead of Photocopy (I don't have neither printer or scanner). Does anyone have experience filing a picture instead of a photocopy? Once again, I am only talking about online filing.

These are official "tips" from USCIS:

As part of the application process, you must provide evidence to support your application. These documents help us evaluate your application and verify your answers are true.

Use a scanner or take pictures of each document. Make sure each image you attach is clear and that all text is readable.

Files must not be larger than 6MB in size, and must be in one of these formats: PDF, JPG, JPEG, TIF or TIFF.

On the other hand instructions to the N-400 tells us to file Photocopy (but I guess they mean it when you file by paper).

Just crop the pic. It will be fine. It's electronic so it's all the same just make sure you save it as any of the listed file types.

Take a photo front and back and paste them on a Word or PowerPoint cropped and submit that, and you should be fine.  Also, take the physical GC to the N400 interview with you.

Good Luck!

I took photos of all our document and submitted them online along with the N-400. It should not be an issue. My wife's application was approved at the interview on Dec. 26th.
