Did you use it to get a US passport already? If you have the coveted Blue Book in your hands, I wouldn't worry about it. If it passes the Department of State passport requirements, your good. Continue on with life.

Yeah, I have my passport already. That is why I am little concern. I will contact them after holidays.

If you have your passport already, then that's a good thing. Less to be concerned about. If there was an error on it, the Department of State wouldn't issue a passport. Could they have done so by mistake, maybe, but the odds of that are pretty slim. I have a feeling this is a scam in the making. Let us know what you find out. I'm definitely interested. You don't see anything wrong with it, Department of State didn't see anything wrong with it, and a year later USCIS catches a mistake? That's the part that is unbelievable to me. USCIS going back to review work and catching a mistake. The odds of that are a million to one.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. I know the costs involved in this whole game of immigration, and if I can save you some money I will!

I got a call from USCIS, but later found out scammers can fake numbers and try to get money from you on bogus claims. https://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/scam-alert-dhs-oig-hotline-telephone-number-used-scam-obtain-personal-information

Yes. After my naturalization I made corrections to my name through court because of that they wanted to update my certificate but officer told me not to worry because I already have my passport and in the event i have to provide evidence i have court paper work.
however, i am still waiting to hear back as the lady who called said they will transfer my file to local office where i live now. So we will see.

Yeah I don't see how it would make a difference at this point in updating the naturalization certificate since you presumably have the US passport in your now legal name.  Like the officer said, you have court paperwork of the legal name change to use going forward.

Thanks for the update---I was very curious how it turned out!

A tad off topic, but I had my citizenship interview scheduled for this coming Friday, and just got an (apparently) official voicemail form the USCIS cancelling the interview.

They are supposed to issue another interview appointment soon.

Is that frequent to have your interview cancelled?

Stop by the local office if you can. Usually phone calls are very rare or unheard of but you never know. In my case it seemed little strange why they called instead of mailing and she would not share any information so that made it more strange.

actually if they are cancelling/rescheduling the interview then a phone call seems the most common way to do it, that way they reach the person quickly. Sometimes this is only done the day before. I have seen a number of forum posts where people got calls for this.

Thank you. So it’s apparently nothing to worry about.

Hello,

Quoting myself here.
I received the letter confirming the cancellation of the interview.
But nothing since then.
Is the USCIS overwhelmed? Not that I am in a rush but it's puzzling.
