Anybody file an I130 with and got the IOE receipt number that has been given a NVC case number? They told me it will likely take longer than 30 days as the NOA2 suggests. Trying to get some insight from someone that had the same scenario. Thank you

When did you file your I130? The IOE “pilot program” has been over for around half a year by now, every petition since around July- August is an IOE. But those who were part of the IOE pilot program back in May-July did experience delay in getting to NVC after approval

Our CR1 Journey:

USCIS Stage:

  • Feb 14 2019: NOA1 (NSC)
  • July 31 2019: I129f NOA1
  • Sep 19 2019: I129f NOA2 (Denied - 50 days from NOA1)
  • Sep 19 2019: I130 NOA2 (Approved - 217 days from NOA1)

NVC Stage:

  • Sep 27 2019: Sent to Department of State
  • Oct 31 2019: Case number received (34 days since sent)
  • Nov 1 2019: IV & AOS fees received & paid
  • Nov 14 2019: IV & AOS submitted
  • Dec 18 2019: All docs accepted, but one additional doc requested (5 weeks from submission)
  • Dec 18 2019: Requested doc submitted
  • Feb 19 2020: Documentarily Qualified (9 weeks from 2nd submission, 14 weeks from first submission)

Interview Stage:

  • Mar 11 2020: Interview letter received
  • Apr 1 2020: Interview date
  • Mar 17 2020: Interview cancelled due to COVID-19
  • August 3 2020: Rescheduled letter received, new appointment August 25 2020
  • August 25 2020: Visa approved at interview! (558 days from NOA1)
  • September 10 2020: Embassy received passport in mail
  • September 15 2020: Passport with visa in hand

October 11 2020: Arrived in US!

I filed online Nov 27 2019 and got NOA2 December 6. I called NVC and she read from a computer screen. She said it was part of the Pilot program and the 30 days that the NOA2 suggested would probably not happen. They said 6 weeks or longer.

Sounds normal to me. Even before IOE it wasn’t uncommon for it to take up to 6-8 weeks to get a case number. Those part of the IOE pilot program in May-July waited a few months for case number

Same here. My NOA2 was received on 11/9. And on 12/27 I got an email from asknvc@state.gov saying that

your case benefited from a pilot electronic process for the I-130 petition. USCIS reviewed and approved your petition faster than average cases of this type as we develop the fully electronic transfer of data from USCIS to the Department of State.  We thank you for your patience while we continue to refine our process with these electronic petitions. We wanted to alert you that it will likely take longer than the 30-day timeframe mentioned on USCIS’s approval notice to you. Despite this delay, please rest assured that we expect the overall time between filing your petition and completing processing with NVC will be consistent with the average processing time for this petition type. When we complete the data entry for your case you will be notified by email or letter.“

I guess the only thing to do is to wait...

I was told the same thing when I received my NOA2 in June.... I still haven't had my approved petition hit the NVC yet almost 7 months later.  I hate the be the bearer of bad news, but chances are you won't see any action for months from the NVC.

Have you called the NVC? That’s longer than anything I’ve read or seen.

Yeah,  I've done it several times.  I don't appear to be the outlier either.  I've been talking to several people who were approved around this time who still haven't reached the NVC.  So far I only know of one person who was approved 04/2019 and he was approved after 7 months of waiting

At what Center Your Application was processed? Is your PD November 27, 2019 or 2018? Because I submitted my application the same day as yours and I have not received anything. My application starts with IOE. Received by Taxes Service Center

How? What did you do to expedite it? Can anyone expedite his case? What are the requirements to expedite?

I did so for a military deployment. The requirements are very vague and it’s case by case basis.
