Court Order Name Change

Hello Everyone,

Im looking for the answer to this question. How long does it take roughly for a filipina to get a court order name change? My fiancee put in for this beginning of Jan 2007 and still no official name change, Im just wondering how long this process takes? Thanks for listening:)

Change of name and not correction of name/entry?

I had correction of name (correction of name on BC) way back 1993 through Court Order, decision came out after 1 year (1994). When I applied for NSO copy of my BC (2005), they don't have the corrected one (with notations) and I had to request an endorsement letter from the LCR. I went to NSO (At Vibal Building, in Quezon City and not the Main Building/Office) with the LCR endorsement letter, LCR's copy of my new BC (corrected name), and the Court's decision. I was asked to come back after 2 weeks (at NSO) for the release of my BC with Annotations.

I'm not sure what's the problem with your name, but there's a new process with Correction of Entry (Typo errors) with Documents (BC, MC, others)- R.A. 94 and the process is much easier and need not have to get a Court order.
