@cdneh you did what he wanted and I can only imagine how difficult reading all that was

Look after yourself and if you run out of things to do I can always send you MIL 😁

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

Ta. I regretfully decline :D Is she going with you when you move?

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

If you change your mind just let me know 😁🤣

She still thinks her boyfriend is going to marry her, he hasn't in 15 years so I'm thinking he's not about to now she's completely lost touch with reality (I live in hope though!)

yes she's going to have to come with us *sigh*

Heavens, I'm sorry to hear that, I'd hoped she wouldn't want to leave home. Does she want to go and leave her heart's desire behind her? She has an actual boyfriend?!?

She calls him her boyfriend, not sure he feels the same way about her though

She can't live by herself, refuses to go into an assisted living facility so she'll have to come with us...mind you she tells everyone she's decided that 'todays the day I'm going to die' pretty much every day so maybe she knows something we and her doctors don't (they say that there is no reason she won't live another 10 years or more!)

I'm sorry you are stuck with her, I do know what that is like. So she's happy to go? She does understand it? My MIL labors still under the mistaken idea that telling us to 'get out' didn't actually mean we should! Seriously :D

From what I can gather, she and her charming daughter/son-in-law have changed internet providers, and so she has a bright shiny new email addy that I didn't have blocked. I have now, but she did manage to send me two notes first.

In the first, she demanded everything she had ever given me as a gift back. Easy peasy. Never had a present from her.  The second was a rather long rambling mea culpa, in which she takes credit for everything she has done since the year dot. Or not done. It isn't genuine in the least, and were are a lot of outright lies as well, typical narcissist behavior. Never mind, I am putting it down to her state of mind. I haven't got to deal with the nonsense any longer.

She turns 90 this year, and I am so glad I am not still looking after her.

Funny how the mean ones go on so long. I think maybe it's why they do. Pickled as it were. Only the good, eh? Maybe she'll find herself a new boyfriend :D
