Edit... Nm was Many hours  ago.  Unless she eats her normal amount she prolly shouldnt get insulin.  Her blood sugar will crash.  Did the vet teach you how to test her glucose?  You use the same instrument as people and need a small drop of blood.

Our vet is off today; her colleague asked if we're using old insulin (si man, at very bottom of old vial), good question man.  Says need to ensure that miu isn't going into DKA (?), dangerous man.  Says that when diabetic mius don't eat, give them half the insulin dose, half-shoot diabetic miu man.  Says that if miu barfs again or condition declines, get her to emergency center, oh brother man.

 

Meanwhile, first available caucus for miu with regular vet (a miu specialist) is Thurs. afternoon, very late man.

Last night, shortly after midnight, my husband was outside in our driveway (he had just taken my car for a drive to make sure the battery stays charged) and an unmarked white minivan stopped in front of our house to shoot BBs at him, my car, and our house. It then drove off and stopped at the next to shoot at their cars and house. He called the police and gave a report. The cop he spoke to said its been happening the last few nights across different neighborhoods. Several other people in our area reported damaged property such as broken widows. He woke me up to tell me what happened and then I was awake for several hours after dealing with anxiety. I'm glad it was just a BB gun and not something with more power. We were both thinking about our kiddo who is due Tuesday. Her nursery is at the front of the house. What if it the shooting had broken her window? Her crib is right below the windows.

 

We did both tell our parents about the incident this morning. I had to specify to my mom not to mention it to either of my sisters as I don't want it to turn political (they'd both say that shooting at my husband, car, and house was justified). I just wanted her to know since they live in a close by neighborhood. People often joke about our city and how bad it is, but I've lived here the majority of my life and everywhere is usually safe. We don't know if it was an isolated incident or riot related, but I don't even feel like I can warn anyone outside of my parents without someone biting my head off and saying I'm not helping the cause.

Sooner or later, they'll encounter someone who'll shoot back. And that guy won't care about trying to differentiate if that's a BB gun or not.

Here in long Island, they're beginning to disturb what they perceive as  "privileged neighborhoods"

But the residents are fighting back. They've had enough.

My god, what on earth is the matter with people! Why on earth would they do such a thing?!  I've about had a gutsful of this carry on. Cause my left foot. Just an excuse to behave as though they haven't any sense at all.

Everywhere in the press, here and overseas, I didn't see a single person defend that cop. It seemed that world opinion was solidly behind the arrest and charge of that officer. They had the world's ear on this one. And they ruined it. Utterly lost the opportunity. All that's been accomplished by this behavior is a reaffirmation of all those terrible stereotypes always said to be unfair, unjust, and invalid.

Cat T-B. more lethargic than we've ever seen her, sick miu man.

Miu ate nothing and drank only a little, uncharacteristic miu man.

Called the vet back; sounding like DKA (diabetic ketoacidosis).

Miu has disappeared, but we are to drop her off first thing in the morning, hope she lives that long man.

Oh i cut off most of my hairs yesterday.  It was mid back and now it's chin length.
