Yes, 2 branches of operations. It was 3 at one point, we shut one down. 

I remember walking into the office the first time, it was like yesterday. Just the big guy and a couple of others. It was bare bones. We were in Manhattan then, moved to Brooklyn later on. 

The other organization is a much bigger company, the guys are in good hands. 

The attorneys that went with the law firm, well they have great backgrounds, I'm not worried about them. I think we produced a lot of talent over the years that are fanning out across the US.

Then there's the question, and it's a good one that was asked of me by a parent in the school...

 

"What do you do for a living?"

I just replied, "good question" lol

I still wake up at 530-630 everyday. Now with nothing to do except a little gardening and help the kids schoolwork. 

The older one is a freight train in motion now. So I just help the little Turtle. Her sister is a tough act to follow.

 

Me, JR and the big guy built this company. I'm very sad to let go. But I'm the only one left and it's too much, I can't find good partners. I had plans of moving the whole outfit to NJ. That's not gonna happen. It's getting split up and sold to 2 different organizations. They hate the law guy. They like the other people. 

 

I'm finalizing the deals soon. Everybody gets paid. The big guy, JR, me. So they're fat and happy. My guys, they all still have a job with great benefits. At least I'm happy about that. 

But now, what's next...

 

 

 

I hope that in time you are able to look back at these events and know that you did everything that was yours to do and you did it well. Changes like you’ve navigated are always bearers  of so many conflicting emotions and reactions.

You’re probably right about not being done .. and it’s hard to have to “ be done “ even though you’re not ... it’s a rare thing when my own done matched the need to be done.

Mini-B. had his Many'rd-grade "graduation" today via Zoom, graduated wee man.

We managed to get Zoom installed on the office computer and watch most of it, flurry of activity we man.

Mini-B. will be in Many'th grade next year, progressing wee man.

Now for a summer of nonstop tablet games, sigh man...
