Just waiting on the weather. Meant to be a stormy night. We are expecting what one weather man has called the "Dorothy meets Elsa" trifecta  with tornadoes, ice and snow in the forecast.

I dislike stormy weather overnight. I have to wrangle Himself, who is hard to wake up, and Herself who wants no part of this middle of the night journey, out to the shelter.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

We've been in and out of the shelter twice so far, and it's only 21:00. It is going to be a long night.

If the power goes down, it will most likely take the furnace with it.  The fan that drives the heat through the vents won't work. If you are running a  propane heater, you need to have some venting going on. Don't leave it on while you are asleep.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Thanks Sid👍 hope you can stay safe & cozy too!
I'm just back from the store, I bought a propane heater that has a sensor/shut off when oxygen isn't at high levels & also if anything is against it, & I have CO detectors in the house HOWEVER I still wouldn't use it whilst sleeping. My husband was HVAC & extremely safety conscious plus I'm a feardy-cat when it comes to such things as propane(& propane accessories)[/Hank]

Here's my ice storm readiness kit right here lol

Stay safe & cozy Lil bear

Thanks. We all good this side of the night. Snows rather than ice expected around 11am.. but the ground is so warm it is unlikely to hang around for long.  How are you doing ?

@TBoneTX  you can only hope !!
Dud you look at the larger map of the storm cell from  last night. It stretched from TX all the way through to WI.. and it was so warm that WI was getting rain in January. 😳

That was a long night! Still crashing and very bad lightning until I gave up and went to bed at 0200. Seemed to really hang around even though the main line had moved though to the center of the state.

Cold today, and waiting on the snow. Mother nature has lost her blinking mind.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

It's been a busy week+ here. I decided to sell all my ducks. We loved them dearly but they were more work than I should have taken on. I was stretched to thin and had to call it. I didn't want to have them suffer if I ended up completely breaking apart. The last 4 ducks went Friday and to very good ppl. They all found good homes, in part would be my rehoming fee I charged. PPL who want them for food won't pay that price, but ppl who want eggs and breeding stock will. Plus I stocked their FB to see how thye kept their animals :)

Storm was crazy here too. We didn't lose power, tornado went through Little Rock I haven't seen what or how much damage they got.

I spent the entire day cleaning kids bedrooms and tossing broken toys. Boy they are spoiled.

Merny, I'm happy that godaddy charged your account just in order for you to find the posts your husband wrote. Also happy they fixed it :) Stay safe and warm.

Oh Tbone check out Lowes they brought back their Build and Grow https://diy.lowes.com/

Now I need to feed my kids I just don't know what yet lol
