How's everyone?

It's May 9, like a cold winter day here. Snowing upstate.

Mother nature playing a joke on us.

It's been more than a month since I last gone to the office for work.

Still everyday, I get up between 530- 6, as if I had something to do.

It's like getting out of jail after a life sentence. (Refer to Shawshank)

I speak to the ole big guy who's been gone over a year.

He says he's still not used to it.

Of course, the pandemic is no help.

I can't see myself not doing anything.

It's driving me nuts.

Question is, what now?

I noticed New Yorkers are like this. Midwesterners? Not so much, or so I've observed. They are happy to just sit.

I wish I had all that time off. I've been working my contract average of 42 hours a week, picking up extra shifts, working prn somewhere else, and doing all day long zoom classes. #dead I pulled a 4.0 though.  🤘

Now, I've just got clinicals for the rest of the year. I get to spend next week in the cath lab.

Last year I lived in Wisconsin (9th grade) and first year I lived upstate (10th) it snowed in May.

Yeah, when I was offered a job in San Diego, I took it, and have only been back to central NY once since then ... 🤣

Today is the day I thought about taking my winter tires off because it was finally going to be above freezing at night.

We must withhold judgment until the P-Math is analyzed, si SM ma'am.

However, in general, it is safe to assume that you scored Many out of Many, si SM ma'am.

Minnesota weather preferred right now. Main job has us wearing gowns on every call and for our several hour long transfers.  They also make us wear at least 2 layers of shirts as part of our uniform. I'm sweating when it is is 30°F without the gown.

So today has been a mash up of good and bad together.... A buddy of mine from the Marines started a group chat with a short clip of us having fun in Kuwait, and that led on to the guy that made/edited the original video getting on as well. He gave out the googledrive link so that everybody can get a copy of the whole video that he made in 2005. He originally have out DVDs and I lost mine sometime in 2006 when I moved. So this is a welcome day seeing this video and seeing how young I was.

The bad note is that the wife is mad at me right now. She is not really good with computers, so as a IT guy it is frustrating. We had to get on FB videochat so that I can walk her through signing out/in to the Chromebook, and then finding the googlemeet path so that our 6 year old can get on later.

That's really cool you can get that video!  I recently found on photobucket (the terrible mess that it is now) a video of my daughter at 2 days old.  🥰 Hubs accidentally deleted a video of him in Djibouti but I had a few photos he'd sent me of that and Iraq.

I totally understand being frustrated by people who are not computer literate.  Even my almost 70 year old mother does a decent job so when I hire some kid at work who can't figure out the 5 different ways they can add a person into our system, I want to shake them.  (Same goes when they can't figure out how to use a mop or a broom... then I want to shake their parents.)

Generally though if I have an issue with a computer, my husband is like figure it out.  One day I was so angry that he couldn't just help me despite spending over an hour trying to figure out the problem.  Turns out I was TOO specific in my google search. 🤷‍♀️ Who knew

Yeah I got it and have it saved in multiple locations now so that I won't lose it. I was showing my wife some of the video earlier and she was "OMG, you look so young" . It is a great video and pretty well done by one of the guys who was in to that sort of thing back then.  It was filmed while we were in Kuwait while our Battalion Commander tried to find any job for us to do in Iraq, which took almost a month for him to find us a job doing border enforcement between Kuwait and Iraq
