My mom came over to work in the garden she is planting today. Her yard gets no sun, but ours does so we are sharing. Just before she was about to order us pizza for lunch, my older sister who lives in Spain called her crying. I suggested my mom go into another room so they could have a private discussion, so my mom ended up sitting in our dining room while I was in the living room. I could still hear every word.

The last two years, my sister has lived in Madrid and has helped teach English at a primary school in a small town North of Madrid; its part of a government program so it was really easy for her to get a visa. She decided after two years she was done teaching English, but she wanted to stay in Spain through a freelance visa. Her boyfriend (also American) was planning on joining her in the fall also on a freelance visa. At the beginning of February, she flew back to the US for a weekend so she could watch the Chiefs win the Superbowl, but was also talking about how easy it would be for them to get their visas and just travel about. When she talked about it, I laughed knowing that she was probably going to have to jump through more hoops than she anticipated. So fast forward to now and she's trying to figure everything out with all the embassies and consulates being closed down, a lawyer told her that her business plan to get a visa would be rejected, and she has no idea what to do about housing. So while our mom is just trying to listen and be supportive that way she asks my sister "Do you have a plan B?" and my sister just freaks out saying that she refuses to have a plan B because, well, I didn't listen to her reason behind not having a plan B because I got annoyed. Her expectations for what she wants to happen are way too high for what can happen. I understand her being upset about all her visa ####### not working out the way she anticipated it to a few months ago, but I lost sympathy the second she said she cannot have a plan B. She's flying back to the US on July 2nd, but her legal status in Spain ends June 30th (obligatory eye roll for an overstay even if its two days). I don't know why she can't freelance from here- her boyfriend owns a house and clearly they are okay with living with each other. The guy who assigns her all her projects

lives in KC anyway.

Spain and the US have completely different immigration systems so I am in no position to give her advice, but I can feel it in my core that she is just going about this whole thing the wrong way. Yes she's in Madrid alone, but she also decided to not try and fly back to the US before there were no flights. Yes things aren't going her way, but she also continues to be rigid about her plans. Our younger sister is a senior in high school and all her end of the year plans have been messed up, but she is at least being flexible about it. I'm giving birth in a month and all my plans have been messed up, but at least I'm being flexible about it (or would like to think that I am). I just don't think she has any real reason to complain because she's refusing to accept that the world has changed and it, for once, will not bend for her.

Some people have a really hard time with change. Sounds like she's similar. Well the world doesnt always bend to out plans so maybe shes had her freak out and will reorganize.

I hope that she does. And I hope her freak out was just a grievance of her plans.

How about that. I actually managed to transfer from the old phone to the new one. Worst part of the whole thing was getting that screen protector on without bubbles.

I got one of those stimulus checks in the post. I usually do mobile banking, saves me a 40 mile trip return to the nearest branch of my bank. No siree, it would not accept my deposit. Of course, we filed taxes married, so the thing was made out to us both, & and not or. Bit tough for Himself to sign it.  So, I loaded up Herself, and we went off on a short road trip. They were very apologetic, and had to ring someone to verify the mobile deposit has not already gone through. I wouldn't have driven all the way there if it had, now would I?

She thought it was well worth it, we didn't end up at the V E T, and she got a bone to boot.

Now I have to work out how to send his half back. There is a ton of conflicting advice to be had, you can keep it, you have to send it back. They of course are shut for the duration, and you can't call about the stimulus either. I suppose I will hang on to it until I get some sense out of somebody.

Windy as here. Next round of miserable weather after midnight.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Thanks Sidders. First exam done, 100% REEEESULT!
To be fair it was a super-easy exam, like a game of pin-the-tail on the donkey without a blindfold!! but I'll take the score just the same....might be heading to the drinks cabinet for a celebratory gin martini in a few easy or not hah!

Hey are the spiders big there? I'm generally not bothered by them.

I am giggling at your preacher's huge erection....what? not my words🤪

Next exam is Monday evening-hopefully it'll be super-silly-easy also

Yes!! Clever clogs :D

Some of them are big enough, the one on the door of the shelter the other night was omg big. The one on the bed wasn't all that huge, but jumping? That is an unfair advantage.  I dislike em, big time. In NZ we used to occasionally get Avondale spiders in the house. The stars of Arachnophobia. The flatmate would pick them up in her hands and take them outside. I used to tell her not to do that, after all the thing knows the way in now!

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

This is a ? for our AR vjers ... I’m driving down from Springfield MO to just north of Jackson MS tomorrow to visit my daughter and family .. travelling through Jonesboro and Memphis .. just needing any local info on COVID hotspots to avoid .. want to make sure we avoid refueling or bathroom breaks anywhere near higher infection areas if possible. I’m aware of the Little Rock area ( not going anywhere near there) and Memphis /Desoto  areas ( driving through here) but not sure if anywhere else on our route is a major risk area. Appreciate any info. Thx

Scintillating repartee since last post, yawn man.

Thrilling Friday report, see man:

We stopped at a convenience store in the morning, convenient we man.

We found Many (2+2+2+1) cents on the ground, collect Business Typhoon we man.

Yet another POTS sales record set, so what else is new man.

Friday was first day that Texas barbers/hair salons could reopen, unkindest cut of all man.

We planned our break-in to the plethora of demand, plan we man.

We spent all day refreshing online check-in, repetitive we man.

When wait-times fell to Many (2x2x2x2x2x2 + 2x2x2+1) minutes, we pounced, pounce we man.

Made it to casa to retrieve Mini-B. and to barber in elegantly perfect time, plan well we man.

Both got all our hairs cut, shaggier wee than we man.

Mini-B. again looks & feels like $Many,000,000*, dapper wee man.

*approximately the gross from this week's POTS sales, Business Typhoon we man

After getting our hairs cut, we took Mini-B. to Wendy's, drive-through we with wee man.

With use of coupons, we saved $Many, Business Typhoon we man.

Cruised the main drags to look for/at rubias, train wee man we man.

Surprisingly, Mini-B. couldn't quite finish his cheeseburger, filling for wee man.

This left even more for us, ingest more we man.

This led to nap-mostly-without-cat, zzz we mostly without miu man.

Many (2+1) allopatric ESs itineraried for Sat., expect report man.

De-dish cat prep zzz man.

Mornin', lurking Commie- and other babes with refulgent-yet-unallocated upvote inventories!
