Friday-night excitement, read with excitement man:

 

Last night/this morn, we were preparing to go to bed, half-past 2 a.m. man.

Cat T-B. was nowhere to be found for nightly rituals, absent miu-of-habit man.

We found her, comatose on our bed, barely responsive miu man.

 

We called vet's line, call we man.

Answering service paged the on-call vet, awaken he we man.

Vet confirmed our suspicion of insulin overdose, hypoglycemic miu man.

Vet said to smear pancake-syrup or honey on miu's lips, lick it for sugar man.

Then, without bothering with carrier, to rush her to animal hospital, shoot up miu there man.

 

We  smeared syrup on miu's lips, lick miu man.

After the Many'th (2+2+1th) smear, cat began averting head, apparently enough man.

Cat went from bed to floor and under a chair, dazed miu man.

We fed her 2 treats, never rejected by miu man.

Miu then followed us downstairs and enjoyed a Sheba Perfect Portions, salmon flavor man.

Miu then submitted to routine bedtime brushing, brush we miu man.

No hospital visit needed, no man.

Most-of-Saturday report, read most man:

 

Awoke groggily at Many a.m., deprived-of-zzz we man.

Overcaffeinated ourself, stomach-upset but highly necessary man.

Set forth to chauffeur Uncle T-B. from post-acute care to own apartment, chauffeur we senior he man.

 

Arrived at facility half-of-half an hour early, prompt we man.

Uncle T-B. released to us precisely at Many (2x2x2+2) a.m., exactly as promised man.

 

Arrived at residence, uneventful commute man.

Front-office staff scanned our temperatures, both above room temperature man.

Staff opened appropriate gate, Open Sesame they man.

 

Got Uncle T-B. situated inside from outside door, self and stuff man.

Mama T-B. showed up from inside door, senior she meet we and senior he man.

We ensured stable situation, then went to Walgreens for hearing-aid batteries, errand we man.

Procured batteries and dropped them at front office for delivery to Uncle T-B., mission accomplished man.

 

Above could not have gone smoother in barely one-&-a-half hours, relief man.

Saturday miu report, read about miu man:

 

Cat T-B. normal in morning and lobbying for breakfast, typical miu man.

Call from regular vet came during Uncle-transporting process, couldn't answer man.

 

Called vet back, recall she we man.

Vet asked more about overnight situation, ask she explain we man.

Vet agreed re insulin overdose, serious situation averted man.

 

Vet had blood results from Friday, quick turnaround man.

Thyroid and all other readings completely healthy, amazing man.

Vet concluded that miu weight-loss a consequence of diabetic diet, no carbohydrates man.

Vet greenlighted feeding miu anytime miu is hungry, constant condition man.  

Vet will see miu in 2 months, pleased she and we man.

Did the two of you set up a will of sorts not sure if that would be a will thing or something else? In case these nutcases get a PI to track you down and pull some other stunt. I know in reality the wife trumps the other family but we all know these ppl are not used to not having things go their way.

 

 

I don't have television here at home. But cooped up in isolation at the hotel when I wasn't standing over Himself, I found myself watching all sorts of strange things. Never heard of some of those, Naked and Afraid? What on earth? 

I did get sucked in to watching Live PD. Now as the story from yesterday was  unfolding, I imagined his charming family in all their raging madness making an appearance.

 

No wills, nothing on paper, just a very clear idea of what the other wanted. I actually asked him once would he want to end up with the rest of them in the little cemetery the MIL used to manage, in the family plot. I cannot tell you what he said, the filters would not permit it. But, no.

 

They are welcome to try and find me. If they actually did turn up here I promise you the police would be right behind them.

 

And, although this sounds pretty weird, if I was ever in a position of having to hand anything over, I would. Still sitting up on the shelf on Himself's desk, there is a plain  little wooden box. In that are the ashes of a long gone Lab he was fond of. Ya. Bury those in the family plot.

OMG Tbone I would have been panicking. So glad she turned around and the blood tests came back clear. I'm so happy you found this vet much better than the other one you started with.

How funny we were just watching Naked and Afraid tonight. There are some pretty interesting things on TV now some just out right weird. 

 

Excellent plan if they ever find you. I would do something similar.

Its so hard to get the dosages right.  Are you sticking to the same food each time? She may have to be on the exact same wet food and dry foods because the amount of sugar in the food will vary, even on flavor.

Thrilling Sunday report, see man:

 

Today was heavy-laundry day, change the beds man.

Of course, yet again Mrs. T-B.'s stuff had to be bifurcated, portending Many (2+2+1) vs. Many (2+2) loads man.

However, implementing our unparalleled skill as a Laundress, we overcame this, triumphant we man.

In total, Many (2+2) loads were warshered/baked/folded, eminently proficient we man.

 

We left the casa twice, expeditions for we man.

First was to retrieve carryout Mexican lunch, approved of by all but Mini-B. man.

Next was to use our Many%-off (2x2x2x2x2-2%-off) coupon at CVS, expiring today man.

With this + paper coupons + store coupons/sales, we saved Many% (2x2x2x2x2 + 2x2x2x2%), proficient we man.

Some of the stuff was practically free, most musical word in English or any language man.

Plus, we got $Many ($2x2x2) in ExtraBucks for our next use, Christmas every day man.

There is nothing quite like being a Business Typhoon in personal life, too, unparalleled feeling man.

Vet is probably right that the amount is more crucial but even in dry foods the carbs can vary greatly.  I would just pay attention to the nutrition labels and keep similar items in protein and carbs.

Additional happening on Sunday, read man:

 

Mrs. T-B., Mama-Mrs.-T-B., & Cat T-B. were all out on back patio, Texas weather Many man.

Cat T-B. caught a green lizard and presented it to Mrs. T-B. as a gift for approval, approval-seeking miu man.

Mrs. T-B. went aysheep; scared miu ran off; green lizard ran down the back of Mrs. T-B.'s blouse, hilarious man.

Mama-Mrs.-T-B. somehow got lizard off of Mrs. T-B.'s blouse, Lizard-Removal Service by senior she man.

We caught the (pun intended man) tail-end of this and found it quite hilarious, amused we man.

Mrs. T-B. immediately changed her blouse and then swept off the patio, scare away potential lizards she man.

We tried to explain that Cat T-B. was trying to win Mrs. T-B.'s approval, somehow not accepted man.
