Three hours sat in the dark last night, while the wind roared around the eaves.  Not wind gusts, just a steady roaring wind. Herself went to bed, and burrowed completely out of sight. It stormed most of yesterday, thunder and all, and she does not like that one bit, so the  power going out put the tin hat on it.  Myself, I sat in there with her and contemplated murder.

Honestly, those people. The brother in law, he would be the 'former' brother in law now, felt the need to post on FB about my husband. Except it isn't about him, is it. It's about his poor wife and her mother who had to find out about the loss of their dear son and brother on an "accidental search on the internet". How "It has been almost 3 years since his wife cut all ties from them to the family".  He's wrong. That idea wasn't strictly mine, it came from Himself. And if this wanker used his brain for thirty seconds he would remember it was not for the first time either.  He didn't have anything to do with them from 1984 until 1997 either, well before I came along.

And the comments. "Oh how dreadful! What a cruel person his wife must be!  He is safe in the arms of Jesus now, and away from her, that's a blessing! Our sincerest condolences to your family. So sorry your wife had to face additional suffering during such a difficult time"

That right there people is the stuff that keeps America green. I have about ten thousand things to say to that, but I won't. I don't believe in dragging private family business onto social media.

Bunch of nut cases all of them. Sadly nothing you can do with dealing with a pile of narcissistic jerks.

I admire you. I'd scream at them for the whole world to see. What a bunch of jerks!!! Where have they been for the last couple of years?!?! How dare they?!?!?! I'm getting angry just thinking about it.

Block them from your social media, please. Get rid of them. You have enough bad emotions to deal with theirs too.

Sending  tons of virtual hugs.

Himself is on the way home today, courtesy of USPS. He would get such a kick out of that, me following the tracking and all, and having to sign for him. We used to get heaps of packages here, mostly medication from the VA, but an occasional book or whatever as well.  He would see the postie on her way up from the road, and invariably say "Hey..you've got mail!'!

Three hours after he was sent on the way home, the in-laws actually had the brass to turn up at the facility and demand they hand him over. To his "real family".  The sister,  her husband and his mother.  They were told he was no longer in their care, and that he had been collected by his legal next of kin.

Voices were raised, there was quite a lot of yelling, and screaming, and desk thumping. His sister refused to leave the premises when asked, and told the woman I have been dealing with that she "wasn't going anywhere without her dear brother", even having been told he was no longer there.  She was advised to speak with me, and was wailing about how she doesn't know how to get in touch with me. It was offered to her that might indicate an answer, right there.

After being asked more than once to leave, the Police had to be called. And the officer that attended was unsympathetic to their cause. No laws have been broken. Their rights have not been violated, they have none.  Neither can the long arm of the law force me to contact them if I choose not to do so.  On the other hand, she went a bit quiet when the police asked the person at reception if she would like to press charges.  She has been trespassed, and maybe that penetrated her thick skull. At that point they did climb back into their car and leave.

I had warned the place to expect something of the sort. They are crazy people, used to getting their own way. I knew they would call, and they have, but I didn't realize they would drive the eight hours plus up there one way to raise a stink in what is a rather sombre setting. I apologized to them for the fuss they made, which they wouldn't accept as not really my fault is it. They apologized for having put an obit on the website. There's never been a problem before. In future the are going to ask first.

There's nowt so ####### as folk.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Hope your kitteh be ok Teebs ❤️

Friday evening is now event of the week, zoom gathering for karaoke type sing-a-long shenannaganaries, last night we(group included frens from US, Scotland & New Zealand) watched Rocky Horror complete with singing & audience participation(as best we could muster)....it's great but so quiet when everyone switches back off.

I drank manys Bloody Marys & then gin martinis, during the movie, took a walk to the local Chinese place to get me some Kung-Po, watched some teevee stuff & was struggling(Ryan's birthday tomorrow) somewhat so had a few more manys gins *hic in bed & managed to get to sleep sometime around/after 3am.....

8am phonecall from Shelby at the local farm market store "You put in an application for employment, can you come in today 10am for interview?"

🤪

So I told her I had some errands to run & could she take me at 11am?

I reckon it went pretty well despite last night's heavy drinking, lack of sleep & emotional distresses hah! Hopefully I'll hear from them Monday at the latest to get started next week.
BOOM!

Or not lol

🤪

So I told her I had some errands to run & could she take me at 11am?

I reckon it went pretty well despite last night's heavy drinking, lack of sleep & emotional distresses hah! Hopefully I'll hear from them Monday at the latest to get started next week.
BOOM!

Or not lol

Hoping for boom ! :D

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

I love the "Hey you got mail" and this time it will be him coming home.

I guess their money couldn't do squat for them here. Serves them right. It's too bad the place didn't press charges. It would have been funny even if it didn't stick. I wonder if they are going to try to stop the mail in transit now.

Did the two of you set up a will of sorts not sure if that would be a will thing or something else? In case these nutcases get a PI to track you down and pull some other stunt. I know in reality the wife trumps the other family but we all know these ppl are not used to not having things go their way.
