Yesterday morning, PRG says she thinks she had some false labor and (other fallopian chant thing) and thinks she will give birth to mini-Dave in a few days. Not very surprised, as he was due in nine days anyway.

Yesterday afternoon, she says something rather painful is happening and we should call doctor (note -- this is our first baby, so we're fairly clueless about things that aren't in books). Immediately abandon routine teleconference where I almost always say very little to do so. On-call nurse says it sounds like you're having contractions, so when they reach proper frequency for an hour come in. So an hour later we start packing up and go to hospital.

And very early this morning, mini-Dave was born. 😃 Someone may have failed to calculate that if we got to the hospital at 4:30, the odds were pretty good that mini-Dave would not make an appearance until late that night or early this morning, and so only PRG had a change of clothes, toiletries, and such. So I'm home alone for the night (also because pull-out couch in postpartum room, while not horrible, wasn't great either).

Congratulations and welcome Mini D ❤️

Massive congrats to you DnA wonderful news ❤️

Continuing to study the online-able parts of our course from home.

I'm coming to the realisation that things between my sister & myself are likely completely unfixable...I'm not prepared to enable her any more, it's taken many years for me to reach this point but what do I do when she tells me she doesn't want to be in contact with me whilst I'm "like this"(she means grieving) & when I tell her that's ok I wont be in contact & reassure her I do have people whom I can turn to whilst I'm struggling.....the next day she keeps calling me....uh NOPE!! I messaged to say there's a boundaries issue & I'm not being a #######....so after a few days have passed she's engaging in some kind of fb meme offensive to get my attention....the latest I have included below for your hilarity....seriously tell me you don't want contact then post this....Oh wait I was supposed to beg for her attention how silly of me!

Apologies for letting this off here.....hope you're all hanging in there

Well that's a bit barmy really. Doesn't seem to me she even knows what she wants.  She doesn't seem to understand that no is a complete sentence. Carry on you.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Sisters can be a 'special' breed, mine called me 3 weeks after my husband passed and asked for money because they 'needed a holiday'

She still doesn't understand why I got a little upset!

Ignore her and concentrate on you and whatever you need

Edit to add I have no idea why it's stuttering on your name but I can't make it stop...

I've got three younger sisters. All blond, all blue eyed, all tall. All nuts. I  haven't seen any of them in more than twenty years. Can't say they've  left much of a gap.

Lmao A little dramatic and childish.

I had my younger sister pull some bull a few years ago. I don't talk much to my sisters, but this has been a long going thing.
