Sleep in the office, si to zzz DA man...

Well, cubicle; I'm not management or a business typhoon ...

Though I guess I could snag an empty conference room.

It's official.  I'm furloughed.  No pay.  They're covering my benefits.  I need to apply for UI.

Oh no. That totally sucks. If they are covering your benefits you will still have health insurance though?

There is a lot of that going on here. On the way back tonight, everything looks closed up.

I thought about doing a bit more grocery shopping online an having delivered here, but I think I might wait and see. I don't know how much longer I will be here.

After a stellar day yesterday, Himself had a poor night. He apparently began vomiting at 0330, and created quite a stir. The nurse didn't understand that DNR means DNR, and so paged half the place out urgently. Fortunately for Himself, cooler heads prevailed.

So today he did not speak. He really didn't do much of anything at all, other than sleep. He dislodged his feeding tube during the episode, so they stopped feeding at 0400. Started it up again this afternoon, but in order to find out why the vomiting he had to have xrays which didn't determine anything. Feeding was started briefly at 1400, but only ran for an hour as they decided xray showed the NG tube needed advancing. They didn't start it again, as he needed yet another image to see if it is where they want it. That wasn't done before I had to leave.

I had to leave earlier than usual. The Hotel called to say due to lack of business, the shuttle would for the future be stopping at 1800.  So it was either walk or leave early.

I am the only person on this floor. It is creepy. I am tired, and sad, and I want to go home.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

I am so sorry.

I realize there are no words I can say to bring you comfort or help in any way....so all I have is.... I am so very sorry.

We live relatively close to each other.....if you need anything please let me know. I will help anyway I can.

I dont mean to laugh except at the hilarity of it.  Im sorry he is hurt though.  I think my husband would also refuse a hospital.  Ive convinced him rarely to get things checked out (a mole removed, a black out checked on, his sinus issues[straw that broke the camels back]) but in general he wont head to a hospital unless he's dying or very broken. Sigh..

My father lives a charmed life. There are so many accidents and incidents my father walked away with unscathed I can’t even begin to explain (chain saw cuts, falling off a roof, grabbed by his hawk on his face, falling through things or having things fall on him). So....yep....he’s not scared of his blue finger with the bone visible 🙄

I shut down my business today. I have applied for all of the loans and hopefully we will be able to pay the employees and keep the buildings (including my house next door). Hopefully all of this will work out. I am feeling a bit like a failure.

Grieve for a while, then consider whatever alternatives are available, si ma'am.

We had a mixed March Many'st, too, si and sigh man.

First, two separate hourlong video-caucuses (cauci?) with Mini-B.'s teechurs, listen we man.

The first was motivational and well-organized, hopeful man.

The second was an utter waste, overwhelmed older teechur man.

Mini-B. will start on non-full-day formal video assignments on Friday, undisciplined wee man.

Second, Mini-B. went aysheep and had a meltdown when we took away his tablet/iPad, aysheep wee man.

Mrs. T-B. has been somewhat lax and we have spent necessary time on the POTS business, sigh man.

Consequently, Mini-B. has been engrossed in his tablet stuff almost all month, sigh man.

Mini-B. refused to go on a family walk with us and finally moped through it, sullen wee man.

He then climbed on a chair to retrieve his out-of-reach confiscated equipment, determined wee man.

We seized them and told him "no," adamant we man.

Mini-B. threw the TV remote and broke it apart, aysheep wee man.

We nearly spanked him for the first time ever, little other resort man.

We finally explained that, with good behavior, he MIGHT get it back for limited periods, diplomatic we man.

Mini-B. felt better after we made him a ham sandwich, food = solace man.

We then played some games with him, recovered wee man.

When Mrs. T-B. finally returned, we had a rousing Many-way game of "throw Teddy (bear at each other)," si man.

We shall see what subsequent days bring, egad man.

Complicating matters is that Mrs. T-B.'s single-mom amiga wants to place Mini-B.'s little amigo with us, work she man.

We rather like this amiga, but we suspect that she is poisoning Mrs. T-B.'s attitude toward marriage, suspect we she man.

In addition, we + Mrs. T-B. + Mama-Mrs.-T-B. + Mini-B. + Amigo Mini-B. = too many/too much chaos, conclude we man.

We have announced that Amigo Mini-B. can spend only Friday in our casa, conclude we man.

Both Mini-B. and Mrs. T-B. are lobbying for constant, full-day visitation of indefinite duration, forget it man.

We foresee that we shall have to pull Mrs. T-B. aside and go aysheep on her, no more doormat we man.

Many'rd, Mama T-B. is a prisoner in her independent-living facility, trapped senior she man.

Residents may leave for doctor, groceries, etc., but they are then subject to mandatory Many-day quarantine, gag man.

This is regardless of whether their doctor gives them a "no Covid-Many" clearance, forget it man.

They already cannot have any visitors, total isolation man.

They can't even have Bingo or movie nights in their facility, total isolation man.

This is not what they signed up for and not what they're paying $Many,000/month for, no man.
