He cannot call out or press a call bell. He isn't on telemetry anymore.

I had to lose my cheery disposition to have respiratory and medical paged. They weren't happy as it was closed to shift change, but too bad how sad. He has a nurse to himself and has been properly suctioned and seemed resting better.

 

I wasn't very happy to leave him for the night, but I need to eat, and all the cafeterias and the like are shut. So, I called the shuttle to get back to the hotel. I called them 4 times, and it goes to voicemail. Seems the shuttle driver has quit and walked off the job. I told the front desk they darned well better get SOMEONE up there to uplift me. 45 minutes later, the maintenance man pulled up inn the shuttle. I wasn't prepared to walk that distance after being on my feet all day in the cold though a seedy part of town.

Enough already. I have reached the giddy limit.

We are fortunate to have cameo-appeared at that ES on Friday, wow man.

 

Awoke far earlier than desired to get T-B.-mobile to shop for new battery/full diagnosis, zzz we man.

Alternator et al. OK; battery failure; got new one, $i man.

Just got personally up-cleaned in time to pick up Mama T-B., retrieve taxes from CPA senior she man.

 

After taxing experience, stopped at one supermarket for Mama T-B. & Uncle T-B., sequestered seniors they man.

Almost nothing on shelves, why even bother to open man.

Went to other supermarket, far different story man.

Products being shelved as fast as could be dragged from storeroom, purpose with a mission man.

Half a Manyzen or more employees totally dedicated to sanitizing store & cart handles, wipeout they man.

 

Store manager circulating, helping customers man.

Offered cell number to anyone who couldn't find a product that day, generous he man.

Promised to snag first one unboxed in the morning, stash in office, and hold for customer, wow wow wow man.

We were thoroughly impressed and made sure to tell him so, prospective POTS hire he man.

 

Delivered Mama T-B. to senior facility, bye she man.

Gave groceries over to Uncle T-B., waiting inside door man.

 

Went back to same supermarket to look for cherry pie, craving we man.

Bakery lady went to back, took one from oven, and up-boxed it for us, still warm man.

Mrs. T-B., Mama-Mrs.-T-B., & Mini-B. favorable toward tasty surprise, ingested by all* man.

   *Cat T-B. rejected miu-food and again jockeyed unsuccessfully for people-food, particular miu man

 

Lunched on chicken relleno (?) cooked without cilantro by Mama-Mrs.-T-B., ingest we man.

Napped like an illegitimate male child for 2 hours, exhausted we man.

Awoke to heavy rain, no chance to GS/ES even if anything open man.

Spent time with Mini-B., educational Roku-TV-available stuff man.

 

Warshered/baked/folded Many (2x2x2x2x2x2 + 2x2x2x2+2+2) -- yes, Many (2x2x2x2x2x2 + 2x2x2x2+2+2) kitchen rags, evidence of furious casa-cleaning by Mrs. & Mama-Mrs.-T-B., involved she & senior she man.

 

Dished the warsher with nearly every piece of silverware in the casa, profligate she & senior she man.

Warshered/baked/folded Many bath linens for the week, for some reason nothing extraneous used man.

 

Looked online for barbershops, need our hairs cut but all hair salons in our county ordered closed man.

Might be able to attend one ES on Sunday, escape casa on other pretext we man.

 

Must de-dish, then cat prep zzz man.

I hope all of you are staying safe. There's no lockdown over here yet, I'm gonna go to work tomorrow as usual.

Maybe I will be able to wor from home once ot twice a week. They need to check my personal computer if it's strong enough to be used as a remote desktop. That's the only way I could work from home. I need to have access to my office computer and all th software it has.

The beat goes on...the fire alarm went off at the hotel last night at 0330. Seems the main electricity panel was alite. We are sill on generator power

 

I thought this morning, being as it is the weekend, and there is nobody about on the roads, that I might just drive up there. Went downstairs without my car keys, and as the shuttle was right there at the door I decided to take it. LOL Would you believe half way to the hospital we had a flat tire. He must have thought  I was a complete nutter, I got  laughing so hard. Figures. So the deal is, he said  would call the hotel, they would get another shuttle and a driver out there...shouldn't be more than half an hour. Nuts to that. I told the guy thanks, but you know I think will walk.

 

I had respiratory up again, with a reasonable result. He told me if It sounded like the crud was at the back of this mouth to just take the yankauer and have at it myself . I got an amazing amount of crud out of there. I think I annoyed Himself, he started kicking at the bed and waving his arms about, none of which are meant to be working.  He looked me square in the eyes and said " you mean cow"  He has a decent cough now, and is managing to look after himself in that regard.

 

He is moving about a little as well. I go around all four about every hour and shift his arms and legs, and they are now not where I left them, so he is doing that on his own.

Tomorrow who knows.

I've started sewing a pile of fabric surgical masks. I can imagine that my normal use of the disposable ones at work (to avoid allergens at the station and in people's houses) is going to be curtailed. Then, I suspect that the conversation will go like this:

 

N-o-l-a, we've had some concerns that you might be conserving our precious PPE in the attempt to not freak out patients when you start coughing and gagging in the presence of their cats. Also, we disagree that there is visible mold present at work and that it causes you to stay up late at night coughing without a mask.  If you could just go on sick leave anytime you cough, that would be great.
