Still no test results. They have placed him under House Staff because he doesn't need ICU care any longer. This doesn't mean he is improved, it means he is tying up a bed someone else might need they can do something for. Until the test comes back, he will stay there in isolation.

Once he is shifted to a ward, he will be one of 8 patients assigned to a nurse. He can't call out if he needs something, he cannot ring the call bell.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Regarding this stupid virus, we have 2 hysterical females out of Many (2+1) in this casa, :girlwerewolf2xn: man.

Mama-Mrs.-T-B. is chief among them, Chief Hysterical Senior She man.

Mrs. T-B. is second among them, Deputy Hysterical She man.

(Many'th is Cat T-B., not hysterical about anything except eating all the time, ravenous miu man.)

They will not let us visit GSs or ESs this weekend, hysterical senior she and she man.

We might catch the virus and infect everybody, terror man!

They had no such qualms about supermarket visits, much less sanitary man.

We must visit the POTS office and will find a way for a Friday GS/ES mini-run, determined we man.

Even worse, they will not let us back in the casa if we visit south Texas/Mexico as planned later, lockout we man.

Even if we don't go into Mexico, we have something else to do on this border side, multiple plans we man.

We don't know why we have to self-quarantine for no good purpose, minimal infection risk man.

I hope you're all staying safe these days.

@cdneh sorry to hear about your husband 🙁 I hope things will get better.

@SAT @Ontarkie @TBoneTX I think there will be no Easter cards from me this year. Our national post office stopped shipping packages/letters/postcards etc. outside EU via air, only via sea, so there's no way you're gonna get them on time 🙁 Esp. since I haven't purchased them yet. So there will be on-line wishes only! ;)

We have been staying home for awhile now. Even before it got bad and they started shutting things down. Between my asthma and the Jedi's past GBS I stayed home just because of flu season.

You stay safe also.

Steve said it perfectly you will be forever in our hearts. Big hugs and keep safe.

I called up there last night just after I got into bed, just to check. His test results for covid19  were negative, no kidding, and they asked if I wanted to come up then or wait until morning. Seriously?!?

He had the MRI and the CT before they called, and the results are pretty grim. He has had seven strokes, all recent, one a pontine which is not good.

I was afraid he would not know me, but the second he saw me his eyes popped open wide and he burst into tears. Poor lad, wondering where I have been all this time.

I was back up there this morning at 0700, met with Medical, Neuro, speech therapy and respiratory.  I have decided along with all of those folks that we will wait it out for a bit and see what happens, what sort of recovery he might make if any. In his present state without any progress at all he isn't a candidate for going home, he needs too much care.  He has movement on the left, some of it purposeful, and he has a good strong grip with the left hand. He will nod or shake his head, and blink when asked to. He will move the left leg when asked, but it's like there is a time-lapse.

The one thing none of us wanted to put off is the talk. If he has a further stroke, not unlikely, or other critical event I've said no to resuscitation. I am quite aware of what his choices would be, and he would agree with that.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Words fail me. Thank you for sharing the update. The decisions you face will be more than difficult. May you know “being together with him” despite the physical changes .. your presence .. as painful and hard as it must be for you .. will bring peace and comfort to him .. praying for your strength.
