No change this evening in Himself. Big change in the hospital policy.

"Until further notice TVHS is restricting inpatient visitation at its facilities. Visitors are not allowed in inpatient units, including Community Living Centers and intensive care units. Requests for visitation to hospice and palliative care units will be considered on a case-by-case basis".

So, I can't get in. At the risk of sounding like a bad movie, I am to meet his Nurse in the flipping parking lot at 0700 to hand over his glasses and tablet. I kid you not.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Learned on Mon. afternoon that Mrs. T-B.'s surgery is indefinitely postponed, grrrrr man.

Learned on Mon. night that the city is making those at POTS headquarters* work from home, grrrrr man.

*work in the warehouse will, of course, continue unabated, enough politicians bought off man

We might have to lay off our chauffeurs, Jeeves and Smedley, avoid same man.

Maybe we can have them stand in supermarket lines for us, good alternative career for them man.

I've just come back after completing my undercover mission. All entrances have at least two police cars, and four officers. Plenty of yellow Police Line Do Not Cross tape. The hotel shuttle guide was allowed in after some discussion, as it was pouring rain he didn't want me to have to walk all the way in.

The Nurse, in spite of telling me to go to the ER entrance, herself went to the main front door. They had my name on a clipboard and told me to go ahead to the front door. She wasn't there either. In the end I took the lift to the floor and went into the MICU. They said she was looking for me, and to wait. I could see Himself propped up in bed , but it was at quite a distance. When she didn't appear, I handed the bag to the person at the desk, and told them to give it to her. The shuttle driver was waiting for me  parked in front of the doors, and they are very busy in the morning, I was worried he would take off without me.

I am trying not to lose my rag over all this. I don't know what I will do if he has another CVA, he may very well do, and it isn't like I can be there.  I am wondering if I should even stay put, if all I can do is phone in a couple of times a day I can do that from blessed anywhere.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Too bad that she isn't in Poland, oj nie.

If she wanted to go into the front yard, she'd have to go around back, Polish arrangement man.

Any test they give me would be two days after his, so his results would be back before mine.

No change today, he isn't really responding appropriately. I have had couple of phone calls from MICU and Neuro looking for information they could have already had yesterday if I had been there.

Neuro has just told me they would like imaging. But until the results come back, they can't scan him. It would have to be decontaminated before and after, and the scan itself takes time. Whatever insult he has to the brain would let them know what if anything can be done, but rules are rules. In the meantime, there he waits.

I've just seen new signs going up around the hotel. "Please take your breakfast and return to your rooms. We are asking this to attempt to avoid the spread of Corvid19. We thank you for your patience".

I wouldn't like to be as far away as that. If we were at home, which I am glad we are not, it would be under an hour away. I don't have a lot of confidence in AR's VA's.

Neuro has just rung me again with questions about events, past and recent. I suppose they are at least keeping me in the loop, and this guy seems like a straight shooter.

I have managed to successfully order groceries online. As we aren't supposed to be milling around and all. Of course this being the West End there aren't too any shops like that around. I can get 15 kinds of pink cowboy boots if I so desired, but little in the way of a meal. Three places just along this road have shut for 2 weeks. 2 others are doing take away only.

Makes you wonder where all this will end, really.

The lady at the front desk this morning asked after Himself, and told me that at least I could still smile. Oh bless her heart, that isn't a smile, it's the lid on a scream.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
