Mama-Mrs.-T-B., who was up north visiting Daughter #Many, visits us tomorrow, airport chauffeur we man.

Just as with the Swine Flu (La Porcina), she's terrified of this Wuhanvirus, scared senior she man.

We plan to wear an advertising board that says, "We survived La Porcina, si man... but not the Wuhanvirus yet, no man!"

So a couple of weeks ago, Mrs. T-B. makes another wildly-vacillating-hormonal decision, erratic she man.

She decides she wants new furniture rather than a new casa, finally sensible she man.

 

She visits Many furniture stores, visit she man.  She finds what she wants and tells us to come see, see we man.

We meet her at the store and like what she likes, agree we with she man.

 

We purchase full new stuff for master & guest bedrooms, $pend we man.

Nice manager lady gives us $Many00 off full price, generous she man.

Because we are so nice, she then gives us another $Many00 off that price, Business Typhoon skills we man.

 

Mrs. T-B. works her Spanish-people connections to arrange for removing old stuff at 1 p.m. Saturday, bye man.

Two-hour delivery window for new stuff is set for 2 to Many p.m. on Saturday, acceptable to we man.

 

On Saturday, we have a great Many errands to run, plus GSs/ESs to attend, full schedule we man.

At half-of-half-past Many (2x2x2+2+1) a.m., Mrs. T-B. calls, call she we man.

"My people are coming NOW -- they have something to do at 2 p.m.," quoth she man.

We were far out of town at an ES, remote we man.

We beat it back to casa by noon, make it in time man.

 

Despite Many promptings, Mrs. T-B. still hasn't emptied her part of the furniture,   man.

Stuff goes flying through the air into boxes, frantic activity by she man.

Most of it is boxed by arrival of people, somehow man.

 

Movers are a husband/wife with well-behaved young daughter/son, entire family man.

Son Many (2+2+1) years old; daughter probably a Many'rd- or Many'th-grader, sweet kids man.

Kids sit politely while parents move furniture downstairs, strong uncomplaining he/she man.

We rescue Many (2x2x2x2 + 2x2x2-1) cents from a dresser drawer, rich we man.

 

We lead movers in their pickup truck to our resale store, donate everything there we man.

Furniture goes straight through front door to sales floor, open display man.

We and movers return to casa for second truckload, down to a science man.

Mrs. T-B. has furiously vacuumed Many pounds of dust from both rooms, suck it up she man.

 

Second load gets on its way as we follow but have an errand in between, meet at resale place man.

Second unload completed, donation receipt received by we man.

Mom and daughter excitedly shopping for clothes inside resale place, good finds man.

Husband joins and immediately finds some shoes, excited he man.

We leave with muchas gracias as they happily continue to shop, good final memory man.

We continue with errands, no downtime man.

Finally arrive at casa, exhausted we man.

Mrs. T-B. in pretty good mood after getting rid of our "old, ugly stuff," no appreciation for longevity she man.

 

Movers call, then arrive half-of-half an hour later than delivery window, oh well man.

They unload, upstairs-carry, unbox, and de-plastic all new stuff, industrious 2 guys man.

One works assembly in master bedroom, one in guest room, independent he and he man.

Stuff is put together and detritus carried away in barely an hour & a half, they've done this before man.

 

New master furniture was made in Malaysia, not China man.

New guestroom furniture was made in Vietnam, not China man.

Mrs. T-B. is pleased, and stuff doesn't look bad to us, si and no man.

This was Mrs. T-B.'s birthday present (and to shut her up), success (and impossible for long) man.

During purchase at furniture store, Mrs. T-B. went off to look at other pieces, shop she man.

Intent was to take advantage of free delivery, advantageous to she man.

She bought 2 other pieces for herself, paying in what we assumed was full cash man.

However, deliverers inform us that we owe $Many00 C.O.D., unpleasant surprise to we man.

And, of course, Mrs. T-B. has inadequate cash in the casa, grrrr man.

 

Mrs. T-B. leaves to go to bank, withdraw cash man.

She returns with $Many less than owed, ADD she and grrrrRRRR man.

She gets call to retrieve Mini-B. from amigo's casa NOW, leave again she man.

We implore her to re-withdraw adequate funds plus enough for tip, about had it man.

 

Mrs. T-B. returns with adequate cash, miraculous to report man.

We pay the C.O.D. and tip each deliverer $Many ($2x2x2x2+2+2), generou$ we man.

Thus ended the only fly in the furniture ointment, I'm hot 'cuz I'm fly you ain't 'cuz you not man.

 

Extra furniture pieces turned out to be a shelf system for downstairs, and (naturally) a full-length storage mirror ringed with movie-star-dressing-room-type lights, vain she man.

 

P.S.  It goes without saying that none (zero, zilch, nada) of the luxurious Pre-Owned Toilet Seats* in the casa warranted replacement, highest-quality in the world man.

So from some posts on FB the reason ppl are hoarding TP is because someone told them it is made in China and the factories are all shut down.  So no more TP being made. 

 

I looked at our TP package and says it is made in the USA. People are weird. All the raman noodles and pasta was gone too. Plenty of fresh stuff left.
